F7 on that make of range usually indicates a problem in the control keypad in which case on your model the whole console panel usually needs to be replaced to correct the condition. First time it shows, turning off power to owen worked fine. It showed up a couple times and now turning off power didn't work. And the touch panel stop functioning altogether.

A permanent fix for this problem was developed by Charlie Popeck, a professional engineer. It involves inserting a piece of paper between two ribbon cables to eliminate the possibility of short circuit between the two cables. The 30 minute procedure is described (including photos) at the web site: dreaded_f7_error

Hope helps.

F7 keeps beeping on my electric slide in range model #911.4658813- stove top works but oven will not operate as everytime I turn off electricity and on again the F7 comes back on

Hi

Error code F7 means that an error with the keypad has occurred. Usually it happens due to loose ribbon cable on the keypad or the electronic control assembly itself going bad. To resolve this issue first, disconnect the power to unit and then gain access to the back of the clock assembly (Electronic Range Control/ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide and make sure that the cable is not broken and nothing is shorted on the keypad. After this is done insert the cable back and then plug the unit back to check. If the error is still there then the electronic control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My Kenmore Elite Gas Range is reading F1 on the display....the gas burners work on stove but the oven wont work....any ideas??

The F1 error code is a failure of the electronic oven control. This could be caused by a stuck keypad or an internal malfunction of the control. You will need to disconnect power and wait at least 30 seconds, reapply power and if condition still exist you will need to replace the electronic oven control.

You will also need to check if the oven is overheating. If the control has sensed a runaway oven temperature it will display an F1 error code. This could indicate a failure of the oven temperature sensor.

Hope helps.

Look on the back of the oven for a tech sheet. This will tell you what the code means and what to check. May be an oven temp. sensor or oven control bad. Can't remember what f7 is without looking at the tech sheet.
