Question about Heating & Cooling

Drayton RP2 with BG 532 boiler Hi, My home only has hot water but no heating. i have recently changed batteries. The receiver seems receiving the fignal fine i.e. when I turned up the temp the gree light will come on after a few second of flashing red light and vice verse. The problem to me seems to be the boilder doesn't receive the instruction from the receiver. The boiler can produce heating on manual override situation. The indicator shows 58 (sometimes 61 or 49 etc) folloed by a code (can be SE or 5E) and interchanging every second. I couldn't find a matching fault code from the manual. The level of pressure once dropped to red bar to the left hand side and I have it topped up to green bar again. I really can't figure uot waht is wrong. Please help.

SOURCE: Drayton Digistat SCR thermostat not working.

Go online to www.cheapboilers.com who deal with this type of boiler. It would be very difficult to troubleshoot this boiler with the information supplied. I hope this will be of some help to you.
Sincerely, Shastalaker7
They should also be able to get you a manual for your thermostat.

SOURCE: the boiler locks out, i

Hi,
It would be helpful to us if you had includes the make and model of the boiler that you are talking about...

Is it gas or fuel oil???

My impression from what you have said is that the control know as the triple aqua stat relay is bad and it is not tripping on the burner on a call for heat...or the circ. pump for that matter...but I have no idea if you have on of those on your unit or what controls you may have so I'm making a very fuzzy guess there...

At any rate your problem is a control issue and whatever controls your boiler needs to be repaired and/or replaced...

Why does it take two bowls of water before water gets hot on combi boiler

The water isn't maintained hot (unless the central heating is on) in a combi boiler. you will, therefore have to turn the water on, which activates the burner. The burner will then have to heat up the heat-exchanger which then supplies the hot water through cold pipes. Once the pipes are warm, you will receive hot water.

I have Drayton Heating System in new home. I seem to be unable to put my central heating on without also having the water heater on. The boiler will come on if the water heating and central heating is on...

you will only be able to have the central heating on seperately if the system is fully pumped. Why would you not want the water to heat? it is more cost effective to use the residual heat to heat the water and keep the temperature up. Costs alot more to heat a cold house and a cold water tank

No hot water honeywell st6400c

HW valve was stuck in the open posiion and the micro-switch was not working so thats why boiler and pump were not starting. Bled system to below the level of the valve to be changed, and replaced valve with a drayton ( easy quick change of valve head if needed no screws )
