SOURCE: I Have a Hardline digital
Inside the open door you would find hidden a red button press this button, the yellow light will be on, input the user code in 30 seconds try 1,5,9 then press A or B to finish
If the yellow light keeps flashing with beeps the code is wrong( revere to user manual)
To change code repeat step a.
Test your new code before closing safe.
I had this exact same problem. Then I realized the red reset button was actually INSIDE the safe itself. So you need to enter the factory default code "159" to open the safe, then on the inside of the safe next to where the batteries are is a red button. If you press that, the yellow light will flash and you'll get two beeps. That means you can now enter your own combination. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: The batteries of my powersafe
I know this post is months old, maybe you didn't open your safe yet or maybe someone else could use the advice.
The batteries are no inside the safe because of this reason, that you should be able to change them if they run dry.
Under the key panel is a long plastic panel. You can slide it to the right and underneath you find the battery compartment.
4 x AA batteries
