The ribbon cable has gone bad. A new one can be ordered direct from pioneer at parts.pioneerelectronics.com Good luck!

SOURCE: display problem
there are lamps inside the face of this head unit that go bad sometime they are wired in series and therefore if one goes out none will work. they a very small lamps soldered to the circut board inside the face

Make sure that the speaker wiring is correctly connected. Please see the instruction manual that would have come with the Pioneer deck for correct wiring instructions first. Check that first and let me know..

It is possible that the original connectors are wired differently to the new radio.
Find the speaker cable colour on your vehicle, and match the pins to the connectors on the radio. This may be given in the manual.
You may need a conversion cable for fitting. These are readily available.

Tips for a great answer:

Press FUNCTION to select the time.
Press FUNCTION until the time appears in the
2 Select the portion of the time display you
wish to set with 2/3.
Pressing 2/3 will select a portion of the clock
As you select portions of the clock display the
portion selected will blink.
3 Select the correct time with 5/?.
Pressing 5 will increase the selected hour or
minute. Pressing ? will decrease the selected
hour or minute.
