You have just one hope - that it's just a corrupted firmware caused by a bad command. The only way to fix that is to remove the battery, wait one hour and start it again. If this doesn't fix it then the defect is hardware - the chip that holds the firmware has failed - this cannot be fixed, the player is dead.
