Sounds to me like a defective fan. Please check the fans whether they are working.
Next you should do is to clean the coils at back of your device if they are dusty.

Also check your freeser ,if it is overfilled please make space for air to circulate in fridge and don't overfill any shelf.

Check these and reply me.

I have a Whirlpool refrig./freezer. I have no problem with the ice dropping in the bucket, but when I try to dispense it under the chute,it wil not dispense. The water works fine. This is a side side ...

Sometimes the ice will collect, melt, and freeze into a giant headache. If you have the one where you can get ice out of the holding bin inside the freezer, see if the ice bin will come apart from the rest of the dispenser. If it doesn't come easily, get as much ice out of the bin, get a wet vac ready and pour warm water on the ice. It will run through the dispenser. Once things come apart easily, you can take it over to sink and get rid of the ice blockage with warm water, let it dry, reinstall, and check to see if it works. Hope this helps.

Ge side by side.. freezer randomly defrost's. gets warm enough to melt all the ice in the ice bin.. there is a lovely ice sculpture in the fridge now as it refroze when dripping out. is there a way...

Hello,

The only thing you could do is replace the defrost thermostat...its the part that determines when the defrost heater cuts off....typically it cuts off the heater around 40 degrees (the defost system is comprised of only 3 parts..the heater..the control....and the thermostat)

What is causing the items in the vegetable bin to freeze and the ice maker is not working,(ice melted in the bin) and the water dispenser is not working and the filter was just replaced a week ago /

Sounds like the source of your refrigerator freezer temperature problem is due to a faulty evaporator fan motor. This fan circulates the air from the freezer to the refrigerator and back to the freezer. When it fails, temps are warm at the top, cold at the bottom, so the ice melts, and the water tank inside the fridge, near the bottom, freezes. I looked up your model #, but it shows no results so i cannot give you a part number.
Also, its possible if you have a control board microcomputer, its bad as well. Some model GE refrigerators the fan burns out part of the computer, necessitating replacing both.

Melting/refreezing ice in the ice makes

If the ice is the only item that appears to be melting or defrosting. I would believe the most possible issue. The icemaker is leaking intermittantly into the bin and freezing the cubes inplace.

The ice maker (GE Profile - 3 years old) produces ice and then, the next morning, the ice melts down into the rest of the freezer (i.e. the ice compartment is somehow not staying cold enough to sustain any...

If the unit is freezing well in the freezer and your ice bin is defrosting or ice is melting together it is your ice maker over filling the tray causing water to leak into the bin. You can purchase kits that contain all ice maker parts needed , it may be the ice maker and it may be the water inlet valve in the back , both come in the kit , go to sears parts on line with the model number from your unit.

Kitchenaid superba ice freezes in the bin

The temperature of your freezer is probably set to low allowing the ice to melt a bit, then refreeze. Try setting your freezer temp a bit lower. That should fix it.

Leak from icemaker shorts electricity in house

It sounds like the ice in the bin is warming up enough to melt for some reason then re-freeze. Check your door gasket seal and also the ice chute door flapper seal to make sure warm room air isn't being drawn into the ice bin area. Also make sure the freezer area is VERY cold like 0 degrees F or lower, that will keep the ice hard and help stop the ice from having a liquid surface film from opening and closing the freezer door too often (then freezing again). The water down the back is from the ice cubes melting a little then re-freezing. Also, is the frige working OK? Does the compressor turn on and off normally? I ask because sometimes the compress start device is failing and the refer can warm up quite a bit while the compressor is trying to start up... eventually the compressor will start but by then the ice has melted a little then the compressor runs for a long time to bring the temps down again. Monitoring with a thermometer every hour will show if the temps are lowering in the freezer section too much.
