White powder is leaking out of the door of my Sentry A3821 safe. What is the composition of this powder? Is it asbestos?

The asbestos is to prevent a heat insulation but if only there is any shield failure you need to worry. This could have come from within the chamber and so you can get to buy these to be fitted on to the slot covering the magnetron.
To find if there is leak of any radiation you need to have a tester. but if the covers are intact and the door shuts fine then there is no cause for alarm except that asbestos must not fall into the food.

Here's the link to the Owner's Manual for the safe. See the bottom right of page 3 for installation of new batteries. This model has the batteries outside of the safe so there is no reason to look into for the batteries. battery cover can be removed from outside. replace batteries and try again but if you remove batteries more than 1 or 2 times in a row, safe will revert back to a factory setting. That number should have been on your instruction sheet when bought. Good luck though, I bought a Sentry A3821 and it's only 5 years old and won't open.. After help from sentry I was told solenoid is bad and no longer made. So I now have a piece of junk bolted to my floor
