White dots that increase in number as time goes by indicates that the DLP chip needs to be replaced. Samsung use to cover this problem under their "white dot" warranty. You can call 1-800-samsung to see if they will repair it. If not, they can give you the closest service center. I would not attempt this repair unless you are a trained tech.

sound like you have a bad dlp chip. this happens to a lot of samsung dlp tvs. some of the mirrors are stuck. they can appear as black dots or white dots and it usually gets worse over time.

This problem cause by DMD chip has been defective. This chip consist of over 2 mil mirrors tiltling to make picture. Some of the mirror does not function causing white dots. Random dots or pixels failing on a DLP TV will be a bad DMD chip. This is a technician replace item only. The chip runs around 160 dollars list price. The part number will depend on which version the set uses and will be determined by the technician.

If these dots are only seen when the picture is on I would look for the Optical Block to be causing it. Are the dots in the same place each time you turn it on?

Samsung DLP Projection Tv white dots may caused by DLP Chip. Change a new DMD Chip 19106143W. The post show you how to replace it step by step.

the white dots our dead pixles im afraid the only way of fixing this is buying a new display, if you contact samsung and let them no they should be able to give you the price of a new display.
