Question about Canon ZR65MC Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Check and make sure the video head drum is spinning. If not, the
mechanism will not fully eject. This is usually a componet (pc board)
problem and will need to be sent to a Canon repair center.
Canon's knowledge base: My tape will not eject. How can I get it out?
"The most frequent cause of this type situation is not having a power source attached, or a depleted battery pack. Once the power source is available, some models require manually unlatching and opening a cover. When the cover is fully open, the cassette tape will eject automatically after a few seconds. If the tape still will not eject, seek assistance from a Canon Service Facility."
Have you tried to open it via connecting the camera to the AC adapter? If the same thing persists, then you've eliminated a power issue. Which would lead me to perhaps a tape issue. How often do you clean the heads? How often do you use the camera? Perhaps a service is necessary?
