Heya, well i'm not sure if its my motherboard's (abit A-N78HD) problem, but I have trouble with my pc when I start it up, the screen stay's black like the graphics card (nvidia geforce 9800gt 1gb ddr3) does not want to work anymore. but if i open the case and just working on the card's external power plug (after trying a few restarts first), then it works fine. is there anything you can recomend I should do? By external power plug, I am assuming you mean the power plug at the top of the card to plug in power from the power supply, the extra power in addition to the power from just being plugged into the AGP slot, correct?

plugging in power from the power supply, after then the card works fine again for a while.

Unfortunately it sounds like the soldered connections are coming apart. Not really to much you can do with that. Check the warranty status.

My hp 7540 display monitor is black screen when I power on

Hi,
I am not sure i understand you problem 100%, but from what i see your screen just stays black when you power up your pc.
The easiest trouble shooting step is if you have another screen available to you. If you do then try another screen on that computer and see if it stays black too.
If it is black as well but you know that the screen works on another computer then you probably have a problem with your motherboard or video card.
Are you using a video card or is the vga\dvi plug right on the motherboard?

I got trouble on the BIOS setting of my Abit SG-72 board. I reset CMOS and then I can't boot anymore(No screen). There are a long beep, two short beep. Why?

You could try removing the video card and re-seating it. It looks like a video problem.
Try reset bios by jumpers.

If this helps orsolves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for myresponse.

Are you sure the 4 pin connector is going in correctly? Some motherboards have an 8 pin socket, and the connector can be placed in improperly. The symptoms you describe indicate a dead short on the power line when plugged in.

No boot

if you had received a cd with the card that contains drivers i would replace the old vga card and, assuming it boot s okay, load the CD. after this shut down, swap cards, then reboot.
