Question about LG enV VX9900 Cellular Phone

I have had my LG enV Orange for about 6 months and it was working great. I really loved it. But, all the sudden it has been acting up. When I go into my calender it says NO EVENT even if there is one scheduled. I had an alarm set on time and it didn't ring until 10 minutes later. It made the startup sound and startup screen while it was already on and didn't turn off either. Most recently, it wouldn't let me erase my messages. I had to take the battery out and now I can erase messages. If I take it to a verizon store, what can they do to fix it? Will they just give me a new enV or can I choose a phone of equal price? I love my enV, but it's pissing me off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mine quit making the calendar entries red and it said no entry, but if i clicked on the date it was there.

I took mine back to the store to have it "flashed". It takes about 15 minutes and it didn't erase any data. It worked. All was fine after that.

Just in case, i backed up my info with the DataPilot program (which works wonderful!).

Mmmm, my friend had the same problem, she thought that the phone was freaking out, and it was getting her ticked as well. She tried my battery just to see what would happen, when all of a sudden, it worked perfectly! I think that you might need a new battery. As for the exchanging of phones, I think that you should be able to get it fixed if you just tell them whats wrong with it. I hope that everything works out!

You need to check your settings with your network provider. They will be able to see if you have good coverage in your area and check all of your settinf.

LG enV won't charge.


If you have only had this phone for 6 months, it should still be under warranty. Also, if you have the insurance plan for the phone from your phone company, they should honor the policy and assist you or replace it for free. My first stop would be at the place that you purchased it from. Even if they wind up charging you a small fee, it will be much less than buying a new one. I hope that this helps.

Envy 1 won't charge. what can I do?


There is no way to fix this yourself unless you are handy with a soldering iron. The power jack that you plug the cord into has come loose off of the phone's mainboard. The only way to fix this (assuming you don't know how to use a soldering iron) is to take it to a phone dealer for repair.

LG Envy inside screen no longer works, did not drop or get wet, was using it fine then all of a sudden I opened it to text only to find a black screen, buttons still light up, but no display!


there is a small very delicate ribbon cable that connects the screen to the circuit board that has probally broken. it is a common problem on phones that flip like yours does.

on an LG KS360:

Go to the "settings" menu on your phone. Select Connectivity. Then USB Connection. Then make sure that the "mass storage" option is selected.
You can then connect your phone to your PC via USB. Presuming you're using Windows, right-click your start bar, and click on "explore". You should see one or two extra drives depending on if you have an SD card stored on your phone. One of these drives will be the internal memory, the other the SD. You can navigate the menus to find the pictures. Either drag and drop them to where you want to put them on your PC, or copy and paste.

Alternatively, you can use a bluetooth connection. If your PC has one, make sure it is enabled, and make sure your phone's bluetooth is enabled [via the connectivity menu]. Set your PC's bluetooth to receive a file, and then find the picture you want to send on the phone, go to the options menu, select "send via" and choose bluetooth. You will have to select your PC's name from the menu after that, and you should see on your PC screen that it is receiving a file.

EnV's internal keypad won't light up.


It is a very high possibility. you should only clean your phone with a papertowel that you sprayed with windex very lightly.

About three months ago I bought the LG En V touch from a verizon store. I planned to use it with my old "New Jawbone" and my new "Jawbone Prime". The phone would nto pair at first then when they finally got it to pair I had a variety of problems. Verizon technicians performe a number of different steps trying to make it work as it was supposed to. They even reinstalled the software after about a week and a half I persuded the Verizon stor manager to replace the phone with a new LG EnVtouch and they exchanged my Jawbone Prime also. The new LG EnVtouch had the exact same set of problems. Neither of these phones worked any better with the bluetooth in my Garmin NUVI either. I loved the design and the features but if it doesn't work why bother. I returned the second LG EnVtouch after aabout five more days of frustration. And went back to my old phone. If you buy one of these and it doesn't work return it fast and let them know what you think!

have you tried turning your phone on and off .. I have the same problem with my env and Verizon says just turn it off and on.. I wish someone would tell me whats wrong with my phone!
