Not getting fuel to carburator have fuel and good filter have a solinoid on carburator bowl that is very hot could this be the problem

Yes it is called a rollover valve so if machine rolles over it shuts fuel off preventing fire, remove bowl and clean it out and spray p.b. blast on the solenoid needle and keep working it till it moves free with the electricity from the batt should cure problem

Check the function of the fuel shut off solinoid in the bottom of the float bowl, this can be done by removing the unit fronm the base of the carb ( there will be fuel spill from the bowl once the solinoid has been removed, now switch the ignition on, the centre pin should retract into its housing.

Must pour fuel into intake to keep running


This one is very obvious. For some reason you are not getting fuel to the carburator. It could be a clogged fuel filter, trash in the carburator bowl and/or a seat needle valve stuck in the closed position. Could be a bad diaphram in the carb.

No, Go online to www.cycleparts nation.com and proceed to look up the part for carburator assembly that you need and at that point order the part that you need for your carb. You need to look for a carburator bowl gasket for your particular motorcycle.

I have a1977 motor home with a 460 ford engine it runs good for 4-5 miles then looses power i can stop then take off again runs good a little ways then does it again getting worse the farther you drive it....


The problem is deffenatly fuel related. Possably a weak fuel pump if you have replaced the filters meaning all filters even in the pump . But the when hot could also be what is called vapor lock in the fuel line so air is getting in the fuel line for what ever reason and when the vehicle gets to opperating tempature its building up pressure inside the fuel line stoping the fuel flow to the carburator . If this is it you can fix it buy adding a accressery filter before the steel line begins . Or it could be the power valve in the carburator or the inlet filter in the carb or the carburator just need to be rebuild if its a 2 berral its not a problem if its a 4 it may be more of a problem . See what you can do with it

Runs rough at idle and wants to quit when you give it gas unless it is on full choke


This is usually an indication of fuel starvation. The jets in the carburator are probably clogged or (if you have a fuel filter) the fuel filter is clogged. In a well ventilated area and away from any sparks or flames, remove the carburator drain plug (usually at the bottom on the side of the bowl or on the bottom of the bowl). (Turn off the fuel flow to at the tank first). Try to catch the fuel as it exits in a small container. After you've drained the fuel from the carburator, examine the fuel and look for small particles. If they are present, you need to clean the jets which requires disassembly of the carburator. You'll need a manual and a rebuild kit for your particular bike to go beyond this step. However, if you're lucky, you can try turning on the fuel and flushing the carburator(s) out. If fuel only trickles out, then you've got a clogged fuel system. Could be the float valve or filter in this case. If fuel runs strongly, then if you still may have to clean the jets. Turn the fuel off, replace the plug(s), turn the fuel back on and give a few seconds for the bowls to refill and trying running the bike again. If it is fixed, then no further action is required except to keep your fuel cleaner! If not, you'll still have to clean the jets.

Fuel pump is pumping fuel to carb, but no fuel going into carburator. can dump gas directly into carb and car will fire up. is there some kind of pump not functioning inside carburator


there is a float valve. There may also be a filter on the inlet. First check for filter, then remove top from float bowl to see why fuel isn't flowing in. You may want to get a rebuild kit. they aren't expensive and they usually come with instructions.

remove the carburator sediment bowl just on the underside of the carburator and see how much sediment is in the bowl,if theres a lot you may need to flush out the carburatror to rid it of these contaminents,also pull out the choke part way when it wants to die,if this keeps it running,this also is an indication of a dirty carburator restricting fuel flow through carburator to the engine intake,sometimes if you can keep it running,spray some carburator cleaner into the throat opening of the carburator and see if this helps

Broken fuel line, can't figure out where to attach fuel line coming out of the fuel filter


Typically it goes tank outlet to fuel filter to carb. Which end is confusing you? If its a 2cyl engine, with 2 carbs, then it may go to a split to feed gas to both carbs, but that's not likely on a 110cc.

Riding lawnmower wont run long


Check for dirt in gas tank some times stuff will fall in when filling and block the hole in bottom of gas tank and wont let gas flow clean everything out and see if it works. Also check that all kill switches are tight and not moving.
