Question about HP PSC 1210 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I just installed both a a black and colour cartridge and the printer keeps telling me there is a problem with one of them. But no matter which one I remove, the problem doesn't go away. The cartridges are from two different companies and were installed 3 days apart. HELP!
Most of the time when the error pops up it is due to problems with either the printer reading the cartridge is in from the contacts or the cartridge contacts are damaged.
I should also point out that refilled and remanufactured cartridges are the number one reason for the error but assuming that you are using hp cartridges fresh out of the pack take a look at this link and follow the steps. I would type them out but it even has pictures for easy reference!!
If you are not using hp cartridges then replace with genuine cartridges and it will most likely resolve the issue - the printer is able to tell the difference between a new and refilled/remanufactured and often times will reject the cartridge because of this.
