First light on washing cycle flashes continuously

Model is an Ariston LS245, recently had the motor/pump replaced, as water from the overflow tray had gotten into the motor and it would continuously short out the house safety switch ( the Residual Current Device, a safety switch that is in all Australian houses, to prevent electrocution) as well as drain hose, as the hose was damaged when the motor/pump was being replaced.

When you go to run the machine on the 'Daily' cycle, the machine starts or certainly sounds like it starts when it was working in the past, and then the first cycle phase starts to blink continuously, whilst at the same time the machine does not sound like it is washing, it making noise but it does not sound like that normal cycle.

I thought that it could possibly be the time delay option, but we do not use this function, I also tried pressing the 'Delayed start select button' as suggested in the user manual, to reset it, as suggested, but this does not do anything. The first cycle phase light blinks continuously.

    Any ideas

Thanks....The issue seems to be with the float switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with your dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use your voltmeter to test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If your switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

It is possible the door switch is not making contact.

I would check the water pump for a blockage, there could be something in the pump preventing it from doing its job as the machine cant go to the next cycle until the water has been expelled before the machine can continue eric

We have an awm8121 and there seems to be a fault on the Spin cycle indicators with th 0 RPM and the 800 RPM flashing..

We can't seem to get the frontloader to finish the drain cycle and continue into the next was.

The last load of washing was still saturated when we managed to open the door.
