Question about Mtd Yard - Man 160cc, 21" Self - Propelled Lawn Mower
Getting the cables loose will require a lot of patience on your part if you do not want to buy new cables...
They can be loosened up most of the time, but you will have to spary a good quality penetrating oil likepb blaster into the top of the cable many times and then let it work... repeat this procedure till the wire inside breaks free of the rust and moves freely again...
Once you have the cable moving, then work a light motor oil like for small appliance motors or at least WD-40 into the wire and down the cable to keep it from rusting again...
The only quick fix is replacement... getting the rust broke free will take time!!
