Cast your eye on it and LOOK to see what cartridge it has. Then Google a replacement stylus. OR, if it's some no-name pos (which they don't actually name in the specs) get a whole new cartridge of your own choice.

My player drags and changes tempo when the needle is first put on the player. After time it seems to fix itself but would like to remedy this as soon as possible. Can you tell me how to fix this?

Generally it is caused by the cartridge and stylus pressure not being right. At the end of the tone arm (not the cartridge end) you should find a weight. This needs to be adjusted. If there are numbers on it, start by moving it to a lesser number than the current setting. Move this only slightly. Then try a record. The stylus should stay in the groove, not rumble and not drag. It's best done via headphones. If it comes out of the groove too easily move the weight in the other direction and then test. You have to keep doing this till the sound is good. Too much rumble - reduce the weight, jumping out of the groove increase the weight.
There might also be another control called an anti-skate control. This might be be helpful in your case as it will reduce the effect of the arm being pushed into the center of the record. Once again the settings of this control are based on trial and test like before.
If you have had the stylus for some time also you might want to replace it, as stylus that are worn could cause it.

My awa turntable with cassette, cd player and recorder (e 6906) has a problem. At the end of the tone arm, the part that holds the stylus is on an angle of about 10 to 20 degrees. The stylus is not...

This model uses a ceramic cartridge. Sometimes the stylus holding part can become damaged. It should be possible to get a new cartridge and stylus for the unit. It looks as it will either screw or just clip into the headshell. Either way look around for a replacement cartridge. If it has a number on the cartridge quote that. Remember it's a ceramic type - not magnetic.

MY TONEARM ON MY TECHNICS 1200 SLIDES TO THE MIDDLE OF THE RECORD! DOES IT NEED TO BE REPLACED & HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

No it's either the stylus or the pressure to the stylus is not enough. The weight at the end of the arm will increase the pressure on the stylus. Turn it up in slightly testing a record till the stylus tracks in the grooves. The trick is to get it so that it stays in the groove without creating a rumble sound. Remember though a worn stylus will not track at all.
Most cartridges track at 2 to 3 grams. If the Weight on the arm has numbers they will correspond to the weight in grams. If you have to raise it very high the stylus is too worn.

Cannot locate a replacement needle without a make. Can you help? I have the number on the needle being T50HD. Is it ceramic or magnetic? I also need a manual. Thank you

The make is probably printed on the cartridge rather than the stylus but it could well be this one (ceramic)

Personally I prefer to change the whole cartridge rather than just the stylus for better sound quality. At least replace the cartridge every 2nd or 3rd needle change -
You don't specify the make of equipment you need a manual for but the best place will be the support pages of the website of the original manufacturer. If you need a manual for a record-player cartridge they usually come in the box.

Broken needle on thorens TD 158 turn table.

Needle is a term used with 'record players' from the 60's. A turntable has a Phono Cartridge with a stylus. Depending on the brand / model of said cartridge the stylus may be replaceable. The cartridge certainly is. The tonearm is a delicate precision mechanism that will last lifetime if handled properly.

If you don't understand any of this I discourage you from taking any further actions without a knowledgeable mentor / technician looking over your ahoulder.

Record PIN needs to be changed, where can i get spare in Bangalor

It is called a stylus and is part of a cartridge. There is a small release lever or it comes out as a plugin device. I cannot see where you are but eBay will have your stylus/cartridge for your turntable if a stereo shop is not nearby. Also any TV repair shop can order it for you. Steve Medley
