Question about Isomac Tea Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Hi! My Isomac Tea is dripping a small amount of water from the group head. Since I descale regularly, I've been advised that the 'group head washer' (?, 'brygghuspackning' in Swedish) needs to be replaced. I've ordered such an item, but can anyone instruct me how to perform the operation? /Johan

Hi,

According to your problem first make sure the tank is full of water.

May the volumetric water pressure pump is stuck. And you should remove it from the motor rotate it manually, you can use a little lubricant oil and put it back again then the pump can work perfect for many years.

The group head gasket is like pressure cooker gasket. The replacement process is also same as cooker. Open the head by opening the screws then carefully take out the old gasket. After that replace the new gasket from one side of group head, then lightly stretch the gasket and put up. You can follow the manual.

Rancilio coffee machine .no water coming out of the group head . steam coming of the group head

Hi Ewah,

If you are getting steam from the group and no water when you turn on the water button - then you may have a group blockage.

The fix depends on the type of machine you have.
If it is a commercial type - then call in a qualified coffee technician.
If it is a domestic type like rancilio sylvia, the you could try to descale - maybe too late, but worth a go.JURA descaling tablets
If when descaling, no water is coming from the group try leaving the steam tap open when asking for water. That way you may get the descaler liquid moving inside the boiler and it may clear the solenoid valve blockage.
If no joy with that you may need to replace solenoid valve.
230V 9W PARKER SOLENOID
Domestic machines need regular descaling to avoid group blockages.

My Capresso s8's display is blinking and making strange noise

All Jura machines in the series C, E, F, J, S & Z models have the same problem. The Jura recommended maintenance is insufficient or erroneous:
1- When new machine is set up, the owners click OK for use of Filter cartridges. This helps only to display reminders for replacing the filter.
2- The instruction also advises, regular use of Filters, eliminates descaling the machine. That is not accurate. Reminders for descaling are delayed or eliminated. This allows accumulation of Calcium deposits in the entire hydraulic and coffee system.
3- Cleaning tables recommended & sold by Jura do not remove Calcium deposits in the coffee/water passages. The automatic descaling method recommended by Jura also leaves the coffee side of the machine unclean. The error message in your machine is due to Calcium deposits in the Brew group, coffee outlet & the faucet dispensing coffee in the cup. I suggest all Jura machine owners should manually descale machine. Manually descaling includes use of 6 to 10 rinse cycles with descaling solution in the water tank. The error message "Clean Machine" is accurate & pointing to descaling the Brew group, coffee outlet tube and coffee dispensing faucet by using rinse cycles.

After the rinse cycles are complete, refill Descaling solution & continue descaling the rest of the machine using hot water dispensing function, until the tank is empty. Finally, give a final flushing of machine to flush out remaining descaling solution inside the machine.

What does it mean when water drips from muffler?

It means that everything is working as intended. One of the byproducts of engine combustion and the catalytic process is water. It is perfectly normal for small amount of water to drip from the exhaust.

I had this happen about 6 months ago. It was the heating element. I had to have it replace - about $225. Ugh. But it works great now. Good luck. If you have an espresso repair shop you can take it to, they can hook it up to an electrical tester and let you know if it the element.
