O HAVE NIKON P100 COOL PIX CAMERA....WHEN EVER I INSERT MEMORY CARD I FOUND THE CARD IS WRITE PROTECTED...HOW CAN I SOLVE IT?

If the Nikon uses a SD memory card then the memory card maybe too slow.
Try using a class 8 or 10 SD memory card.

Memory card is write protected


SD and Micro SD memory cards has a small slide switch on the edge of the card, which write protects data on the memory card or add photos to the SD card. Slide the switch from the LOCK position to the UNLOCK position, which is furthest away from the contacts.

I'm assuming you mean something other than the reset found in the menu. Remove the battery and memory card...press every button....leave it alone for 20 minutes....insert the battery and then the card....turn it on.

When memory card is inserted a message apears on the screen saying this card cannot be used. the card is formated, unlocked and is working fine in my other nikon camera, please help. i cant even acess...


Hi , when you insert other memory card the error is still remains? If your answer is yes ,the camera needs to inicialize try to do this in camera menu without a card. Err remains after initialize contact Nikon service.

What do you do when your nikon cool pix camrea says memory card is write protected


SD type cards have a little switch on the card that can write protect or "lock" it. Take the card out of the camera and check this switch. To unlock it, it should be moved towards the edge of the card which has the electrical contacts.

Hello there, for transferring media from the memory card to your computer it is much better to remove the memory card from the camera slot and use a card reader as the operating system of your computer will detect it as new media found and you can easily drag and drop the files you want to utilize and will save battery on your camera as well.

You may need to reformat the card, somoetimes the free space information becomes corrupted and camera assumes there is no more space.
