Hi, The easiest way would would be to install a DSL line in the APT and connect direct. Have you got the correct WEP key to the wireless networks? Do you ever have a warning that you are connected with limited connectivity or acquiring address takes ages? If so, you may be attempting to connect to a network with the wrong key. In addition, it may even show you are connected, yet you cannot access pages. Have you ever succeeded in connecting properly?
Please provide answers and I will try to help some more. Regards, Icom1

    Hi,
All I can suggest is that you try to acquire the password for one of the secured networks that are close to you. Either the Market or the Bar might be helpful enough to provide with one. You might even try a neighbor. I had a 10MB connection at home with an unsecured wireless router and turned out a had half the building on my router.

I want to extend my speaker cables, how should i connect them

The ideal solution would be to swap out the entire cable for a longer one unless you have to...
It sounds like this isn't an option, so your next best choice is to get some extension speaker cable and cable crimp-on connectors or Wire cable connector blocks (see ebay URL with picture below ) from the wiring department at Radio Shack, Home Depot or your local hardware store. The crimp connectors are generally rubber shielded metal tubes that you insert the wires from the speaker and the extension speaker wire. You then squeeze the crimp-on connector with pliers to secure the wires in place.
IMPORTANT...During extension make sure the polarity (+ -) marekd with different color will continue from existing speaker cable.Otherwise you will loose the LOW NOTES -BASS

If you don't have any extra speaker wire on hand, you can pick some up at a reasonable price at Radio Shack or any hardware store. While there are many theories about what gauge speaker cable are best, you're likely starting with fairly thin wire coming from the back of the RCA home theater system, so crimping on a heavy gauge wire will do little to improve your signal quality. 18-guage speaker wire will likely do the trick in most cases. I would likely recommend a different solution if this were a component-based system with individually powered amps, but for an all-in-one system, 18-guage wire will be sufficient.
Crimp-on **** connectors come in a variety of sizes. Make sure the size you choose is appropriate for the wire you use to extend the length of your speaker cabling run. Here again, Radio Shack and the local hardware stores will sell the connectors you need for most of the common wire gauges.

Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me

How do you program a radio shack to the 700mhz trunking chanels

You will probably have to use a '3rd party' SOFTWARE package. Mr. Donn Starr has written software for most of the GRE / Radio Shack scanners, and using his software will usually allow you to enter 700MHz frequencies. You will need the USB Scanner programming cable and software from Radio Shack, then search online for a link to get Don Starr's software. You might be able to try it out for free for a little while, but it is really worth the $30 for how easy it makes it to program your scanner once you get the doggone Radio Shack USB scanner programming cable configured to work with your computer. Let me know if you have more questions.

Weak signal from cable modem

if you rent the modem ask for a swap. If you own it ask for a rental roughly 3$ a month. This will give you a way to compare speeds. Have cable company come out and check signal of cable at modem first. The signal should be between +10db to -5db. I wouldn't recomend anything outside that and preffer a +5db range signal. Causes could be damaged line,to many splits to modem etc. You could use a 1000Mhz amp usually 15db's don't use a 900Mhz radio shack or any thing under 1000Mhz for data (internet). 900Mhz is ok for video but I have no desire to own one. Yes modems do **** out in first use or after 5-10 years. Try to use power conditioners or at least a surge protector for anything with a circuit board. Good luck.

Connect Cinego to MacBookPro

The projector has a computer video cable input on the side of the unit. If yor MacBook has a female VGA output, simply purchase a VGA cable (double male) at a Radio Shack or WalMart, or other comparable retailer, and connect the two. The Cinego will find the input signal from the Mac, and you have to press the right keys on the Mac keyboard to tell it to put the screen signal through the VGA output on the side of the MacBook.

PRO2096 Blank again 3mos after "repair" seemed to work

Since the repair fixed it for 3 months and it appears to be doing the same thing, repeat the process but be sure to put anti-oxident solution (if Radio Shack does not have, try a real radio parts store in person or online) on the ends of the cable so the metal will not "rust" so soon.

Extending range of wrt54g router

yes there is a way to extend the range. it involves flashing a 3rd party firmware into your router. another way is to buy better antennas for it. radio shack has a pair for your router that are made by gigaware that will add 7dBi to your range. That is an easier solution. if your want to try flashing your router (my personal favorite way), then let me know and i will walk you through on how to do it. ; )
