Depends on what printer you're using, usually you would see a printer icon in your system tray (lower right corner of your screen) while it's printing something. If you doubleclick on that, there should be an option there somewhere to dlete or stop the print job. To prevent that from happening again the next time you print, make sure to check on the window you see before you print how many copies you're printing.

My windows 8.1 computer printing menu(page setup) doesn't ask me the number of copies I want and my monochrome laser printer doesn't stop printing.how can this be corrected ? please answer and/or corr

The setting for number of pages usually can be set from within the printers software. Or when you go to print check Print Preview and try setting it from there. Normally a printer wont print more pages than the amount you are attempting to print.

Keeps printing copies of what i copied last week and won't copy what i want this week

((make sure you have the printer turned off)) otherwise you it might print another page if you have multiple prints in the queue you will have to open a file that you are about to print click ok a page will open with a display print queue tab you can see all prints right click on the ones you don't need select cancel
it will be in the print queue where you can stop it printing right click to delete what you are printing you might have to uninstall the printer then reinstall to adjust your print settings

or just go into your printers settings to alter/change the settings

hope this helps

No power on my Lexmark X8350

That's the same printer I have.

First, make sure the blue "copy" button is lit. Printing is done there.

Then, go to the circle with the checkmark in it and hit the menu, and arrow down to copy papy size and make sure it says "letter".

Click start on your computer, then click control panel, then printers, and make sure Lexmark 8300 series is the default printer and has a green checkmark in a circle.

If all these things are right, you should be able to print a test page and the computer should work fine.

If any one of them are wrong they must be corrected. If you need help on any one of those please write back.

MY PRINTER JUST STOPPED WORKING

Sounds like the printer will not pass its power on self test.

Possible a power supply related problem.

Contact the manufacturer to determine if it is still under waranty.
