SOURCE: hi the paper feed pulls the paper into the printer

***hi there,il be willing to help you on that. ****
there is a great possibility that the rollers of the printer is having an issue. but try there steps first , do a self test on the printer, run a blank sheet of paper, if it jammed, that means the printer itself is broken
put plain paper in the sheet feeder, then press the start button. if it jammed, remove the paper jam and try again.
***if my troubleshooting steps are helpful, pls vote for me, i will appreciate it, so that I can be a part of fixya, thanks, Godbless****

SOURCE: Paper feed "violently snatches" more than one sheet of paper

ok its possible that something may have dropped into it, you would not believe the things i have found in mine:), a paper clip the other day. you could unplug it completely and turn it upside down and give it a little shake but not to hard, or try a torch first,

My printer says the number2 the e what should i do i have replaced the ink

E, 2 is an alert that the paper is not as being correctly loaded into the paper tray. Remove your paper and get a fresh, dry supply of new paper. I suggest using only five pages or so, and separate them to remove static. Place them into the feed tray and get the guides so that the paper is properly aligned...not too tight and not too loose. Try printing. If you continue to get the error code, remove the paper and make sure there are no obstructions anywhere in the paper path. Sometimes when users get a jam, they snatch or roughly remove the page and tear tiny pieces off that remain inside and can block sensors. If you find any bits of paper, remove and cycle the power and then try to print again.

Paper jam as snatches paper in on right hand side, then displays E 3 and does not print

Hello there
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

THE PRINTER WONT WORK IT JUST KEEPS SAYING NO PAPER FED WHEN PAPER IS FED

First of all, check that the paper size setting is correct in the printer and in your software. Sometimes the printer tries to tell you not that "there is no paper" but that "there is no PROPER paper", e.g., you send a B5 printing job when the printer has A4 paper in it.

If this is not the case, we have to assume the problem is hardware.

Take out the paper and look where the paper should go. Insert a single sheet and look along it for help. You should see a small plastic leg dangling down from the left upper hand side of the paper feed slot. That's the paper out sensor.

If you can't see it, it could be broken - in that case the printer will never see the paper you put in. Or it could have stuck in the forward direction (it can happen if somebody overfeeds the printer or tries "snatching" the paper when it's half captured by the rubber roller). If this is the case, GENTLY rapping on it may dislodge it and send it dangling properly on the paper path.

If you can see it, and it dangles properly - it's not skewed or bent and does not appear damaged - try blowing along it with a compressed air can. Sometimes a bit of paper dust can lodge in the optoelectronic "window" and blinds the sensor.

All other likely damages, unfortunately, aren't easily repairable except by a skilled technician with the appropriate spare part.

Paper jam X6170

Yes, this is a paper jam. Open up your printer as if you were changing the ink. Get a torch if needed and a pair of tweezers in case it is small. Get in ther and have a good look for it. It can be so tiny and could be near the carriage that is off to the side, in the roller and its teeth or further down. he paper cruching is because of the jam and the fact the carriage cannot center itself. Good luck.
