Dryer (Roper, electric) won't heat

Its probaly gone open circuit, however there is a thermistor that prevents it shorting out, you need to locate it and test it with an ammeter

My son put soaking wet clothes in dryer....since then clothes wont dry (happened 2-3 weeks ago) took hose off back and ran with it off....still no heat.....help! john

I would check for a blown thermal fuse or faulty heating element. These components can be tested using a multimeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty component. The thermal fuse is about one inch long and is located in the rear of the dryer, usually attached to the exhaust duct. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Roper dryer stopped working during cycle REX6634RQO

replace your t-fuse again but also chekc to see if the vent going outside is restricted. if hte vent is smashed or clogged the heat has nowhere to go. i would say that is your issue. clean your vent before you change he t-fuse.

Dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes Roper REX4634KQ1 Electric Dryer

Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it

Dryer leaking water

it sounds to me like the heating element that heats up to dry the clothes has gone faulty or tripped out. Cant really tell from here.. when you open the drier is there a good level of heat ? If not, its the heating element section at fault.

Yes UNPLUG and open the back of the unit on the bottom right side you will see the element in a heat chute that model has what I call a half element it mounts on the bottom portion of the chute just remove the 1/4" screws and the high limit stat and you will see how the new one goes on

Re: no heat and timer not moving

If the timer is set for a auto dry cycle,  the timer won't advance if not heating.  You need to check for 220 volts at outlet.  It's possible to have only 1 110 volt circuit.  May be a bad breaker. or outlet.  If you have 220 volts at outlet,  you need to have an ohm meter to check continuity of the thermal fuses and the heater.   Access by removing rear panel.  UNPLUG FIRST!!!!!
