Question about Vacuums

Open Question

Sewing Machine..I've just unpacked my old Lemair 604 (yes it was mums before me) and it's been a while - too long - since I efficiently sewed happily away, I couldn't remember and eeek the manual is gone from the case..some rotter didn't care enough when they borrowed it. in essence the manual for my Lemair 604 sewing machine has been lost. It seems very noisy and tight and I dont know how to adjust the tension or thread the bobbin correctly or where and how often I should oil.. Can you help?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: sewing machine won't pick up bobbin thread

open the bobbin case and see if the hook is turning, if it is it is just a timing problem with the hook and needle, if it isn't tuning you may have a broken gear or timing belt.....It eill need to be looked at or adj by someone who repairs them....Daniel

SOURCE: i have the brother Ls-2000

adjust your tension. You probably did not wind your bobbin properly as well.Make sure you oil your machine every month or so and make sure your bobbin is seated properly before you sew.
Go slower with the pressure foot speed and use the right needle.ALWAYS test on scrap of your sewing material first!!!

I have this machine for like 2 years and can do 2-5oz cowhide and buffalo leather on it (no joke, and it works FLAWLESSLY) inside it has full steel construction, just needs regular oiling compared to pro machines and easily made a few grand $$$ with it while my pro machine is getting repaired (I don't even bother with my pro machine anymore) But you MUST oil it every month and use the RIGHT needle and adjust your tension properly
Also pull out the thread a good 6 inches from the needle and bobbin before dropping the pressure foot and sewing.
Best $70 bucks (WITH TAX) I spent hell, the leather I use costs more than the machine!

This might sound too basic for you but check that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder. The bobbin tension adjustment is the small screw in the plate on the bobbin case that the thread passes under as it comes off the bobbin and goes out. This might not be exactly the same as yours but should give you an idea of the position.

SOURCE: I've lost my user manual

You could email: spares@aeuk.co.uk and ask for a manual or call (+44)1322 291137 x 2 between 10:00 and 14:30

Or (Thanks to an article 10 months ago from Farmerbear) you could go to allyint.com
They are the sole US importer of the Necchi machines and I believe they stock replacement manuals. Their number is: 1 800 525 9987 ex 20

How to get Brother sewing machine apart to replace spool spindle.

To be honest the best thingon such instructions is the manual which is provided along with the machines, but many people don't have it , probably because they have lost the manual orthey have got the machine as a used one and forgot to take the manual alongwith it.

Please follow the belowinstructions :-

Close to the end of theHandwheel , there is usually a spindle, at the back of the machine.

This is where you need to restthe spool on and you would notice it sitting perfectly.

In case the length of the spindleis less , then pull it up gently with your fingers.

Also there are machines these dayswhich have easy to replace facilities , so the spindles just slide intothe machine for safety norms when you put the machine away.

Therefore , all you need to do it pullit up and it would be fine.

An example of a manual forbrother's sewing machine can be found in the below link which would give you anidea of how exactly it's done.

Hope this helps ..:)

Sewing machine problem. . . . . .Hello Rick, My machine is an old Bernina 830. The instructions in your blog make sense and should have fixed my problem, but didn't :-( Question: There are 2 pins that...

Yes, from the information I have on your machine the metal disk you refer to is basically a program disk. It operates like the old self playing pianos did with the holes. You stated that the model number is 830. Is that the model number that is written on the machine?

How old is the singer sewing machine with the serial number g1027369

You have a Singer Model 27, built at their Elizabethport factory in Elizabeth, NJ, in a production run of 40000 which were manufactured in 1911. Confirmation from Singer available by clicking here.

Your machine is very nearly 100 years old, but in good condition will still be fully usable and you can still buy many spare parts for it.

I trust that I have fully answered your question; please take a moment to rate my reply.
