Question about Saeco Vienna De Luxe Espresso Machine

1 Answer

Saeco Vienna De Luxe Espresso is leaking water

When removing the bottom tray for cleaning, I have found that my Saeco Vienna De Luxe Espresso is leaking a small amount of water. I believe it is coming from the grinder as the water is pooling under the grinder. I have not noticed any other appreciable difference in the production except it may be noisier. We love this machine and have a number of friends who also have various models. They feel the same about their Saeco Vienna De Luxe Espresso makers. Thanks

I have the same problem with considerable amount of water and coffee ground under the tray. Instead of dripping into the tray, it now fills up behind the block unit and underneath the tray.

Hi,

It can be the steam valve or the boiler that is leaking.

My Saeco Vienna Deluxe has water leaking out from somewhere underneath - clear water.

There are so many places to check, but lets check the small chamber under the white plastic valve, which sits behind the brew unit, clean out the chamber of coffee grounds. If that is not the cause then, you will have to open the machine to find the leak.

If it is coffee colored water, then remove the brew unit and look under the white plastic valve in the machine, you will notice a small chamber, clean chamber of coffee grounds and make sure the little discharge to the draintray is also clear. Insert brew unit and check machine.

After coffee is made, clean water leaks out the bottom.

Remove the brew unit, find the white plastic valve inside, look under the valve you will see a small chamber, with a discharge going into the drain tray, clean out chamber and discharge.

Liquid leak while Vienna runs...but where from?

You may have a cracked coil inside the boiler and cracked nut of the coil going up to the wiring lug. Check it out, it will be a hair thin crack, almost invisible.

your problem may be in the watertank. I had that problem, and found out, the metalfeder fastened so it stayed open, after making a cup of espresso.

Diverting all of the coffee flow into the bottom tray rather than the cup.

You might want to check and clean the coffee outflow spout ( the adjustable double spout on the outside of the machine) . If it is all plucked up that might be the cause.
