Question about Computers & Internet

2 Answers

My girlfriend just had me look at her Toshiba Satellite M505-S4940 laptop. She said it started acting weird and would not sign on to the internet. When she brought it here I tried to turn it on. It would boot up to Windows Update and would shut down from there. Once I was able to get it to the password login but then it shut down. It won't boot up in Safe Mode either. How can I get it to boot?

You could try booting from an external hard drive and solve the solution from there. The specifics are far too indepth and complicated to explain without a series of uncertainty from my part, as you have not specified your operating system. Here are a few options you could search on in order to find a solution to your problem:
(operating system here) toshiba laptop won't boot
(operating system here) toshiba laptop unable to boot in safe mode
(operating system here) defrag
(operating system here) restore factory defaults
(operating system here) boot problems
Again, I apologize for not being able to go more in detail to assist you with your issue, but the operating system of your machine is a vital piece of information needed to aid you with your problem. I hope what I have posted has helped you or led you in the right direction. Although, I would strongly suggest calling Windows Technical Support. This should solve your problem indefinitely.

What is the best way for me to connect my toshiba

Depends on the available connections on the laptop.

You can use the basic monitor out (usually blue) for picture and an mp3 - rca cable for the sound.

Also a white digital out is sometimes present on laptops which can be also used.

There are many ways but as I said it depends on the laptop options.

But better still is hdmi for both if your laptop has it.
