Question about Plantronics Radio Communications

I was never able to resolve my initial problem with my 1st Plantronic head set because every time I provided the requested information it just created the need for another answer so in frustration(as I think is the expected result) I just gave up and replaced the headset. I replaced it with another plantronic and hope this time the result of my request will have a more favorable outcome. I need a different earbud cover and cannot find any available. Is there any way to find out if they are available direct from you?

1. When replacing the NVRAM or the EEPROM board, if the parts are replaced with used parts, the License Management error condition cannot be resolved by performing the repair operation.
In this scenario, Initialization would then be necessary and support must be contacted.
Additionally, if both the NVRAM and the EEPROM board are replaced, Initialization will be necessary.
IMPORTANT: Perform the Repair Procedure first, then the Initialize procedure. If initialization is required, collect the following information before calling support:

Check the account settings like protocol, incoming/outgoing server and port number for Outgoing messages. If all things are Okay but problem still exists then you should initiate PST diagnose mechanism. Sometimes, corruption in PST file creates numerous issues like sending/receiving problem, inaccessible email items and loss of items. This problem can be resolved through advanced PST repair tool i.e. provided by Microsoft certified vendor.

Hello! I bought it second-hand, and I cannot set a security password on it (it doesn't seem to have a control console) (WinXP)

1. You will need the setup software to reset the router for connectivity
2. Contact the manufacturer via there site and download or request replacement setup CD.
3. Look for reset button on the router and hold for 30 seconds and set router to default.

How do i get my plantronic 220 in discovery mode

Hi,here is a detailed solution on how to set your plantronic headset into the discovery mode;
STEP 1 You have to firstly put off the headset,by holding the call control button,which is the button on the face of the bluetooth,until the blue light turns red,as soon as the blue light turns red release the button.
STEP 2 After putting off the headset,wait for like 5 secs to ensure its completely off.when the device is off,you can now press and hold on the call control button for 5secs if its the first initial pairing,if it's not,then you have to hold on the call control button for 8seconds,afterwards the light should flash red then blue in both cases
STEP 3 At this point in time your headset is in discovery mode,and you have 60 seconds to pair it with your phone which should also be in the pairing mode as well.
Your plantronics headset and your phone are matched up and you are good to go.

How do i fix "Waste ink full" to resume printing

Canon Pixma iP4200, Reset Procedure
  1. Turn off the Printers.
  2. Hold Resume button click POWER.
  3. Hold button RESUME, release POWER
  4. Then press the button again twice RESUME.
  5. Release all the buttons.
  6. Indicator led in green and stay green.
  7. Click the button 4 times RESUME, if you want to make another transaction. :
Look at the table below:
· 1 led- Orange – Service test print 1 times – Orange – Service test print
· 2 led – Green – EEPROM information print 2 times – Green – EEPROM information print
· 3 led – Orange – EEPROM initialization 3 times – Orange – EEPROM initialization
· 4 led – Green – Waste ink counter setting 4 time – Green – Waste ink counter setting
· 5 led – Orange – Destination setting (Press Power > Press Resume 3x) 5 times – Orange – Destination setting (Press Power> Press Resume 3x)

My palm centro began hot syncing by itself and I could not cancel it. It coming back. I took the battery out and waited a few minutes. Now it does not turn on at all and the red light stays on.

The problem is from the connectors on the bottom getting wet, slightly moist, oily from your hands touching it or just plain dirty. This sends an incorrect signal to the phone that makes it think the cable is attached and requesting what ever action is initiated by pressing the button on the cable, which is set by default to initiate hot-sync.

Two things can make this problem bearable or even resolve it:
Clean the bottom connectors to resolve the incorrect request for action being sent and/or reprogram that cable button action to do something different, like go to the phone's home screen instead of initiating hot-sync.

I take a packaged alcohol pad like they use at the doctors office (not a cotton ball, the fibers get stuck in the grooves and deposit too much alcohol in the phone) and wipe the bottom connectors down really, really well. then let dry. two or three times of doing this _always_ fixes the problem for me. I let a lot of alcohol get in there but the pads don't contain all that much extra which is why you should use the pads to keep from damaging you phone! (they are cheap at wal-mart.)

In the meantime, reprogram what the phone does when it receives (or thinks its receiving) a signal from the cable button press. On the centro, go to Preferences --> Buttons --> HotSync, then set the app you want to activate. I use "phone" so when the problem reoccurs, my phone keeps sending itself to the keypad, not the long long process of activating and canceling hot synch.

You will have to manually launch the HotSych application from the home screen when you synch if you keep that button the same or you can just change it back to the default when resolved.

Initially what I suspect is that your USR's connection to your ISP is intermittent but with that of the USB modem is consistent. This is clearly an ISP issue and should be resolved by them.

One thing you can try is to verify the integrity of the line splitter that is commonly used to split the 2-wire signal to the telephone and to the modem/router. You can actually remove the splitter and connect the telephone line straight to the WAN/ADSL input of the USR 9106 Wireless Gateway and check if their is an improvement or if your ADSL and WAN IP will light up consistently.

Alternately, if your ISP is too busy to attend to your concern, you can try mimicking the USR's WAN settings to that of the USB modem's. While still using the USB (provided by your ISP) determine its WAN IP settings. This would be IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS. You need to access the USB modem to get this data. Should you need detailed instructions, pls post back the make/model of the ISP provided USB modem. If you were able to gather the information. Connect your USR 9106 Wireless Gateway (Ethernet 1~4) to your PC using a LAN cable and enter its configuration page. In its WAN/ADSL settings, use the numbers gathered from the USB modem. You may need to do a full hard reset on the router (rear panel) prior to putting in the numbers.
