Question about Washing Machines

2 Answers

My NFL1065 washing machine wont go past the spin cycle, comes up with error UE which I do know is a balance problem. Have tested and made sure it is level, still no good.Occasionally when washing will tilt the machine in different directions and sometimes this works. If I run the machine with no clothes in it, the spin works fine. Could it be a belt problem?? HELP! Thanks Andrea

Thank you so much for your comments, it has been a great help to me.

I have been having some luck with the machine completing the spin cycle. Some days it will not spin, therefore I just keep trying. You could be right in suggesting the balance sensor could be the problem.

    Thank you
    Andrea

Hi,

An UE Error Code is indicative of a "Unbalanced Error". This indicates that the drum is not spinning in a smooth rotation. It may be necessary to rearrange the load in the drum unless the balance sensor is likely the culprit and needs replacement.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi

The washer's load may be too small or unbalanced. Adding a few similar items to the load or rearranging the pieces that are inside the washer may help clear the error. In addition, the "UE" error code appears when the washer runs its imbalance detection and correction system. Typically, this occurs if heavy items such as towels, bathrobes or coats are loaded into the washer and the system cannot re-balance the load itself.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

How can I correct UE error?

I guess you got a Korean washing machine

Ue code is called unbalanced error during spin

Do this if you know what you are doing

Check washing machine if it's fixed well on the floor
Check clothes in drum if they are moved to one place.
Make sure there's no excess foam in the drum
Now if all above are ok then
Set to rinse + spin program and start it
And wait
If it doesn't go to spin speed and you hear a loud knoking noise then u should call service centre
Or if u are a tech then check shock absorbers and
Balancing counter weight .

UE Error Code

The UE error code (Unbalanced Error) displays when you wash items that cause the machine to shake badly during the spin cycle, if possible wash and drain the items only, then open the door and stack the items evenly on both sides of the drum in order to balance it, now select the spin cycle.

The machine begins just fine half way through a cycle it stops. Sometimes it runs with no problem. One time we got a code of (UE) I think not sure.

UE = Unbalance Error. For bulky loads, use a lower spin speed. For regular cycles, use a larger amount of clothing per load, and / or a lower spin speed. You can load the drum with dry clothing up to the point where you are just able to reach your arm in to touch the back of the drum. Very small loads can cause more frequent off balance situations.

LG washing machine direct drive when i put it on it washes and goes down to 9 mins then stops, sometimes an error code comes up UE? CAN U HELP PLEASE

It means Unbalanced Error, it means the machine cant balance the load during the spin cycle, normally happens if there is too little a load i.e 1 or 2 things or overloaded. It is designed to protect the bearings. If it happens with a normal load try stopping it and re-arranging the load by hand and putting it on a spin only cycle. Hope this helps.

LG Tromm washer wont spin through the spin cycle and reads error ue. I have tried to balance the load several times and still get the same error.

This error generally happens when people try to run a bulky load, like a coat, rug, pillow, etc., using a high speed spin. For these loads, choose the low speed spin. After the cycle completes, if you think the clothes are too wet, power up the machine again but instead of choosing a cycle, just push the spin speed button until it shows the next higher spin speed (usually about 14 minutes will show on the display) and push start. The machine will usually be able to get to a faster speed now, as the clothes have some of the water spun out of them from the earlier low speed spin, allowing the machine to reach a higher spin speed without the Unbalance Error code showing up. Of course, you want to make sure the machine is on a solid floor with all the legs adjusted properly also.

Screen reads UE? what is UE?

UE stands for Unbalance Error. If the washer has tried to spin numerous times, tried to redistribute the load itself between each attempt, and still not been able to get the load up to full speed without experiencing an off balance condition, it will finally stop and display the UE code. This is most often the case when a heavy / bulky item(s) are being washed and the spin speed is set very high. When washing these items, set the spin speed to low. The machine will most likely be able to handle that. If you want them spun out faster, then AFTER the washer has made it through the cycle on low speed spin do this: Turn the power back on. Without selecting any cycle, just press the spin speed button, selecting the next higher spin speed. Now press start, and your washer will just do a 14 minute or so pump and spin.
For super wet heavy loads, if you cannot even get the washer to go through a cycle on the lowest spin speed, you may have to wring a bunch of the water out of the clothes by hand before doing the 14 minute cycle thing.

Will not go into high speed final spin after rince cycle..only spins back and forth slowly and the uE indicator comes on stopping the machine. Have tried taking out a few laundry items and re-starting and...

uE is unbalanced error. When you have bulky items, wash them with a slow spin speed. Larger loads actually balance out better, so adding items might help instead of subtracting them. After the cycle completes, if you want to you can turn the power on again and (without selecting a cycle) just push the spin speed selector button and select the next highest spin speed. The load will most likely make it through the next higher speed now that it is partially spun out. You should get a 14 minute spin and pump only when you start it now.

Comes up with the sign UE ??

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The error code UE means there are some heavy clothing is loaded. Rearrange items to help balance the load. If the imbalance is heavy, the washer will make several attempts to restart the spin cycle. If an imbalance is still detected, the washer will stop and will display the error code UE. In case, if the load is small then you need to add 2-5 clothes to balance the load. If the load is out of balance then you need to rearrange the clothes to balance it. Although the Washer has an imbalance detection and correction system but if still the problem persists then it means that it is due to control error and needs to replaced preferably by a qualified service technician.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

LG Washing Machine stops spinning in mid cycle

IE:

• Water supply is not adequate in
area.
• Water supply taps are not
completely open.
• Water inlet hose is bent.
• The filter of the inlet hose clogged.

Solution:
Check another tap in the house.
Fully open tap.
Straighten hose.
Check the filter of the inlet hose.

UE:
• Load is too small.
• Load is out of balance.
• The appliance has an imbalance
detection and correction system. If
individual heavy articles are loaded
(bath mat, bath robe, etc.) and the
imbalance is too great, after several
attempts to restart the spin cycle the
machine will stop and the error code
will be displayed.

Solution:
Add 1 or 2 similar items to help
balance the load.
Rearrange load to allow proper
spinning.
UE:
