There is normally a Nylon keeper that holds the Pinch Roller in place. If this is missing it may be lodged in the tape mechanism and will cause further problems.

This can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

How do i remove rear rim from alko ride on lawn mower

I was unable to find your exact mower, however, most rear mower wheels come off as follows: remove the black rubber cap in the center of the wheel hub. A channel lock plier and one of those paint can lid removers generally works well for removing the flexible cap. You should then see a flat metal horse-shoe shaped retaining ring. One should ideally remove that with a pair of hog ring pliers. These pliers have two pins that fit into the holes on the retaining ring and pull them farther apart. However, if you do not have the right tool, you can usually pry a retraining ring off with a couple of flat blade screw drivers. Look to be sure there is no cotter pin that may need removed. To remove a cotter pin, use a pair of pliers and an ice pick or screwdriver. When you take off the wheel, there will be a piece of metal approximately one and half inches by 1/4 inch on the axle that slides into a little groove directly on the axle. Be careful not to lose it. When you put the wheel back on, you will need to slide that pin which I think is called a "key" back through the hub of the wheel. Good luck.

How do I change back tire on a Toa Toa 50 cc scooter?

A single bolt with a cotter pin holds the rear wheel on the axle, covered with a plastic dust cap. Remove the cap, Remove the pin, then use a pry bar to hold the wheel in place while you undo the axle nut. Once removed, tap the end of the axle with a rubber mallet or use a piece of wood and a hammer until the wheel comes loose. Remove, use motorcycle tire tools to remove tire, replace tire, and remount wheel. Use a new cotter pin.

1994 Holiday rambler motor home ford chassis front break locked up dont know how to remove caliper or to tell what size the parts are example 350 series or 450 series

The rubber "plugs "are the retaining pins, have to drive them out
with a punch and hammer. Also, have seen a lot if vehicles that
sit develop a restriction in the rubber hose that goes to the caliper,
The restriction is inside the hose so you can't see it. If this is the problem, after hitting the brakes ,open the bleeder on that wheel,
if fluid comes out under pressure and the wheel will turn after that,
it's the brake hose.

Front wheel bearing instalation

Engage the emergency brake. Place the socket end of the tire wrench over the lug nuts and turn 45 degrees to break the nuts loose. Do not unseat the wheel from the wheel hub.
  • 2Jack the Sentra into the air using the factory front jack point. This is located behind the radiator.
  • Finish loosening the lug nuts and remove the wheel.
  • 4Unbolt the upper and lower caliper mounting bolts and lift the caliper off the brake rotor.
  • 5Secure the brake caliper to the coil springs above the brake system with zip ties.
  • 6Slide the brake rotor off the hub assembly.
  • 7Remove the bearing cap on your Sentra. To do this, you need to use channel locks. Grab the bearing cap with the end of the channel locks. Then, twist the channel locks back and forth. You will eventually be able to loosen the bearing cap so that you can pull it off.
  • 8Grab the end of the cotter pin on the spindle nut with pliers and pull it out of the nut. You may need to pull fairly hard, but the pin will come out.
  • 9Turn the spindle nut counterclockwise to remove the spindle nut.
  • 10Tap the wheel bearing out of place with a rubber mallet or a hammer.
  • 11Tap the bearing races out of the hub with a hammer and punch tool. You need to do this for both sides of the hub.
  • 12Clean the inside of the hub, the spindle, as well as the spindle nut brake parts cleaner and wipe them dry with a clean rag.
  • 13Install the new wheel bearing. Tap the new bearing into the hub using a rubber mallet. Make sure you are using a rubber mallet so that you do not damage the new bearing.
  • 14Reassemble the hub assembly, brake assembly, and put the wheel back on and tighten the lug nuts so that the wheel sits flush against the wheel hub. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  • 15Lower the Sentra to the ground and set the dial on a torque wrench to 100 lb-ft. Tighten the lug nuts clockwise until the wrench clicks. This will indicate that the proper torque value has been reached.

My drive does not engage I checked the clutch cable ,the drive wheel rubber is worn but still sufficient,it could be a shear pin but I dont know where it is I have an MTD/5/24 its likely at least 10 years...

There are a few things to check on this unit First is if the pins are in both tires. the quick pins are removable and allow for the machine to freewheel for easy transport.

I would check to see if the drive disk is coming to a stop when the cable is tensioned properly and engaged. If it stops then the belt needs replaced. There are a few updates on the different models for idler pulleys. I would recommend checking with a shop like to get belts and check for updates.

If the drive disk is spinning and the pins are in then the problem is from the rubber drive disk to the axles. If there is no grinding from the transaxle then the problem is in the clearance of the drive disk.

    Good luck.

I cant get the rear hub off my 97 tercel how do i get it off im trying to change the bearings

    remove the rear wheels
    remove the dust cap
    remove the cotter pin
    loose the nut
be careful when you install, because you must torque and adjust the nut. if it's done incorrectly it will damage the bearing or the wheel can come off!

Our Chevy S-10 ZR2 won't go into 4 wheel drive

under battery is a vacum operated actuator that pulls your 4 wheel drive in to front axle.Make sure it has vacum going to it .Sometimes the actuator will get a hole in the rubber housing and 4 wheel will not engage. You could also check your vacum lines going to a canister on drivers side fender as sometimes the will come un-pluged and your actuator under battery will get novacum to it.If not it could be your actuator motor which is on the transfer case and is electric controlled and expencive300-400 dollars. Also could be a vacum line
