SOURCE: Treadmill runs then stops. E1 error and sometimes works fine.

Yes if speed sensor is too far from magnet it will not pick up belt movement. This confuses the computer and as a safety precaution it shuts the machine off. Find speed sensor and check for proper alighment with magnet.

How do i fix a lifegear treadmill 97520?

Try below:

ERROR CODE
DESCRIPTION
E1
Speed error (The treadmill running speed is 3.2 kph faster than the displayed
speed). The treadmill will stop immediately when the console detects this error.
E2
Speed error (The treadmill running speed is 3.2 kph slower than the displayed
speed). The treadmill will stop 16 seconds later after the console detects this
error.
Troubleshooting / Resetting error codes
In the rare event of the treadmill displaying an error code ("E" followed by a number), simply reset
the computer by:
1. Step off the treadmill. Ensure that you are clear of the running belt.
2. Turn the treadmill off at the master power switch located near the motor housing.
WARNING: Ensure nothing is positioned near or under running belt which may possibly block
it's normal operation.
3. Turn the treadmill on at the master power switch.
4. Ensure that the Safety Tether Key is securely and properly installed onto the console or just
reinstalling the Safety Tether Key can also reset the display.
If the above does not clear the error code, please contact the nearest Dealer/Service Center

How long does it take for someone to help me, on this site.

How fast you get answers depends on many factors. I just picked up your question but have spent time finding and reading the manual. I am by no means a treadmill expert, but my first thought was treadmill belt tension was too loose to keep the movement sensor happy.

Moving the belt manually would be irrelevant as the electronics would not be monitoring to throw up the E1 Error..

The manual tells you to check all these things.

E1
Loss of Feedback Speed Sensor disconnected Check Speed Sensor
Connection
Speed Sensor Misaligned Check Sensor position
Faulty Speed Sensor Replace Speed Sensor
Loose Display Connection Check Display Cable
Connection
Faulty MCB (D2 LED on) Replace MCB
Faulty Drive Motor Replace Drive Motor

If BH Fitness are being no help, I would be asking them to take the machine away or get it fixed on-site.

So does the belt turn when you switch it on? Is the belt centrally aligned when it spins?

Page 35 shows belt adjustment and I would guess tension although not specifically mentioned.

Bladez prisma treadmill error e1 replaced lower control board and speed sensor

I will answer my own problem here, maybe it will help someone else. After BH North America customer service told me I needed a new lower control board and I had to spend $100+, it wasn't the board. Then they said it was the speed sensor, they sent that out for free, that wasn't it. Now, they would not respond to me. So, we went off the troubleshooting guide saying it was a connection problem between the upper and lower board. My husband opened up the "leg" of the treadmill and checked the connections (cutting the tie cords that hold the wires tightly in place, maybe too tightly and that's what caused them to come unplugged) and now the belt runs! So, BH got another 100 dollars of my money, on top of the original $800 and solved nothing and then ignored my emails. Horrible customer service and when this one finally bites the dust, I will never purchase a machine from them again. P.S. This treadmill is only approx. 2 yrs old.

please see the indication for error 1. and fix it. see the block diagram
Lube the Deck belt and rollers bearing too.

ERR1 indicates a speed issue. In this case, the motor speed as reported from the optic sensor differs

from the speed setting.

Analysis: Optic sensor signal issue -- Either the optic sensor signal is not right, or it is read incorrectly, or

the signal is not reaching the display

I have a Tsc4 treadmill that has worked perfectly until now, when it shut down displaying a E1 error message...any ideas on what to do? Thanks :)

E1 Is an RPM sensor error message. It simply means either the belt is not moving or the sensor is defective.
If the belt moves slowly then shuts down, check the RPM sensor located close to the drive pulley (under the motor hood). verify that it is as close to the pulley as possible without making contact. Verify that the magnet is present (mounted on the pulley). it will be a small round magnet, 3/8-1/2 inch diameter. If the magnet is missing, it may have attached itself somewhere on the treadmills frame. Reinstall it in the pulley.
Often there is an RPM LED located on the controller PCB. By manually passing the magnet past the sensor, you should see the LED flash. If so, that verifies the operation of the sensor, if not replace the sensor.
If the belt doesn't move at all, likely the motor controller PCB is defective..
