Question about Car Audio & Video
Make sure all of your wires connectting to the speakers are in working order. then if you have made any alterations such as sub woofers or amps check those as well too. if all the wires havent been crossed check the head unit. look to see if you connected the power to the right wire because it would work a little bit if you connected it to the stand by wire. if everythign is in good working order then look into geting the head unit checked out.
the problem is in the wiring. make sure they are sealed (electrical tape) and not crossed according to the stereos specific diagram

If you have the speakers directly connected to the radio, it may be an issue with the radio or if you have amplifiers set up it could be the amp. It is a possibility that it could be the wiring but is less likely. IT would be wise to inspect the wiring nevertheless as the solution for loose or bad wiring is usually the cheapest.
This may be caused by terminals at the back of the radio where you have the wires leading to the speakers installed. IT may be loose or the connections are bad. As for the radio itself see if balancing the bass and the treble increases the sound of the back or the front whenever it dies on you. Try different sources of signal if it matters, whether a CD or if you have an AUX, your mp3 player. If the sound changes it may just be the radio part that is faulty. Inspect the wiring to the antenna. Otherwise it could be the radio itself that could be faulty or the amp if you have one installed.
