Question about Lavelle Industries Korky& Universal Toilet Repair Kit

Open Question

I have a korky 528 anti-siphon valve on a swiming pool. I would like to know how to adjust the water to a lower level as it is a little too high for proper skimming of the pool. Thanks. Russ Myers

Gary- I too have a similar problem as Russ. However, your answer refers to a toilet. It looks like his pool builder and my pool builder installed the Korky 528. How do we adjust for less or more water into the pool---thanks, Frank

If the water is reaching the tank overflow tube, the float valve is not stopping it fully. If the valve is new or not too old and you have instructions or know how to disassemble it, you can flush it to ensure there is no debris in the valve or on the seat. Although the manufacturers recommend this, I have never found anything on the seat.
If you can't do this, a new float valve assembly must be installed.

Pool overfilled, I thought because of rain. This wknd I backwash drained it to the proper level. 2 days later it was overfilled again...no rain. I don't know, but think I have an auto fill.

look for a smaller cover and open it up until you find something that looks like this one or even one that could look like a toilet fill... I've seen it. Thats the auto fill and they're relatively cheap, but to save you some money look for a little outlet (1-2" hole) in the pool right near the auto fill and plug it up with a rag. if water starts coming from the top of the fill area then it could be the filler or the fitting it connects to. Once you've determined if its the auto fill then shut the water off, most times it can be shut off with the landscaping but not always, you might need to shut off the water supply for a bit. then it just counter-clock screw out put in the new one and play with the levels you want it at. DONE!

Can i change spider gasket while pool is full

In most cases, Yes!
All depends on water levels in relation to Grade of equipment to water surface level!
If filter valve is lower than level of pool surface water level, hopefully you have isolation / shut off valves before and after equipment? If you don't then answer to your question is no.
If you do have valves and when those valves are closed, then answer to your question is yes.
Answer is also yes, if pool water level is lower than filter valve.

Korky anti-siphon. Tank water slowly drops, accompanied by a hissing sound. Then, after dropping about 1/2 inch, it refills. Wha?

either the fill valve is running and water is draining into the bowl via the overflow tube in the tank or the flapper is bad (or foreign matter) and it is allowing water to escape into the bowl slowly...causing the fill valve to run every few minutes or so. hope this helps but if you need anything else just text me here:)

Since I replaced the insides of my toilet with the fluidmaster 400 anti siphon, the water seems to no refill the tank after I flush the toilet.

You are going to have to adjust the valve you just installed. Most can be adjusted by pulling a ring close to the bottom upward and pulling the neck of the valve up, in turn adjusting the water level in the tank. There should be instructions in the box on how to raise the water level.

How do I lower the water level in my pool? Show a diagram, so I can see what values I need to turn and adjust. My pool has a float mechanism and a drain fuction at the main control panel but I am not sure...

Their is no valve to turn the float valve need's to be lowered. If the level has been good and has just started to run high you may need to replace the float valve. At your house you will find a pipe coming off one of your hose bib's and running into the ground. This will be the pipe that has a valve to shut the leavler off.

Kohler two peice toilet the water just circles and will not flush.there is plenty of water in holding tank that run through

These models need to have a flush valve flapper that has a styrofoam float on the lift chaninof the flapper. Go to hardware store or home improvement store and get a 'Korky brand toilet tank flapper with float 'ball". Cut the rubber ring piece away from the flapper and you don't need it (see cut here marks on flapper). Install flapper and adjust the float fairly close to the flapper.
When the water level drops in the tank and reaches the level of the float on the opne flapper, the flapper quickly closes causing the toilet to have a "surge" of siphon action which forces the water in the bowl to be drawn out.
