the treadmill is not very old just 3 years with maybe 100 to 200 miles of use. Would it go out so soon, I would think they would be designed to go 1000's of miles. It does have a life time warranty on parts no labor. Have you seen this happen on other treadmills? thanks

There is a problem with the motor. The motor is burning out so it has less tourqe. there is a safety feature that turns everything off if the motor is stopped. Since the motor is bad it is easy to stop it from spinning. The motor needs to be replaced.

I have not seen it that often but it does every once in a while. Even though a product will normally have XXXX amount expected use sometime they get XX before they break. ( i use X's as a visual referance (: ). I think you should redeem the warrenty if you still have it because tampering even a little may void it. I am sorry i couldnt be of much more assistance.

Im am sorry but i think you may have gotten a lemon because you are right, it should last alot longer.

Please rate the solution as you see fit :) ( i get $2 if you say it helps ) If you mark it as unhelpful i understand, but I am confident of my solution.

Thank you for your question and have great day!

Motor is locked down. Do Not Energize! take to factory certified service repair person. You will burn up motor or even worse "start a fire" if you try to run it. something is binding motor, this could be many different things.

Is it the motor or the foot pedal that might cause my trouble? Sewing machine runs inconsistent in speed.

HAVE YOU TRIED TAKING THE FOOT PEDAL TO A SEWING MACHINE REPAIR SHOP AND ASK IF THEY COULD TELL YOU IF THE RESISTANCE IS CONSTANT AT DIFFERENT LEVELS OR IF IT FLUCTUATES IN SPEEDS ON ANOTHER MACHINE. MY GUESS IS THAT THE MACHINE NEEDS AN OVER HAUL, THEY DO NEED OILING, ADJUSTING AND CLEANING IN PLACES YOU HAVENT EVEN SEEN YET. I KNOW,.... MY WIFE HAS THREE OF THEM AND THEY RUN BEST IF THEY ARE SERVICED ONCE A YEAR WITH MODERATE USE.

Proform xp 590s treadmill starts, then stops

Dear Sir:

You must adjust again the speed sensor see the diagram attached, tight very well the cables, and clean aroun very well with alcohol.

2) Try to run the software calibration.

3) The problem is lack of maintenance, Specially LUBE between deck vs walk deck belt, Do IT RIGHT NOW.

That produce ENOUGH friction, by wear deck and walk belt, and shut down the system for to protect the electronic system and component.

If the problem persist, you must have 1) Main motor faulty or 2) Main motor board faulty. See my personal TIPS for HELP.

sincerely. God bless you.

Hi My Hoover wind tunnel cyclonic stopped working when i was using it. I tried different plug even then it doesnt work . What to do??

If the motor stopped running, it most likely did because it was not being cooled, becuause something was stopping up the air flow. If you have cleaned the secondary filter out and it still stops while running, then remove the exhaust filter cartridge and try it then. If it does not stop running now, then the problem is the previous models like this had a foam filter as the exhaust filter, not a heppa cartridge filter. You will not hurt the machine by running it without the heppa cartridge. Cut a foam filter to fit to replace it. I do not think Hoover knows this yet.

I have a customer working on this problem today (Sept 2010) I have repaired machines for 30 years. This filter is meant to just catch the tiny particles from getting back into the air. However, it worked fine on the previous machines with the foam filter here instead of this Heppa cartridge.

When I step on the treadmill, the runner stops and

Unplug unit then remove motor shroud the walk on the belt normally and try to stall the belt to make it slip. Be careful during this test. If the problem is in the drive belt, either the drive belt will stop when stalled or the front roller will stop when stalled.
Find the set bolt(s) on the motor. This is typically run through only one side of the motor mount or may be on both sides but it does not run the full length of the mounting..
Look for a bolt that will tension the motor. If it has this bolt, it typically runs in the same direction parallel with the drive and walking belts. If your treadmill is not equipped with a bolt as described above, the drive belt must be tensioned by hand. While one person applied increased tension to the drive belt, the other person should tighten the motor set bolt(s) that are described in Step If your treadmill is equipped with this bolt (very few are) the repair will only require one person.
If the motor, drive belt, and front roller continue to turn when the walking belt is stalled, the problem is with the walking belt slipping on the front roller.
If the walking belt slips when walked on. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.

I bought it in may , I can honestly say , it is THE worst vaccum

There are several filters on bag-less vacuums that need to be cleaned. Dig out your owners manual or open the one below. See section 3 for filters and maintenance. If you are vacuuming a house bigger than about 1500 square feet, you should be cleaning the filters every other use. Personally, after using a bagless for a couple of months, I went back to my bagged vacuum.

Try placing it on a rubber mat or carpet that has a rubber backing. The floor may be too smooth and allows it to walk.
