Question about Jenn-Air Grilling

1 Answer

I put the gas dial on max and the most temp I can get is about 110 degree. I thought I was just low on gas so I bought a new bottle and it still will not get hot. I have had the BBQ for about 5 years but have only used it about ten times.

It could be that you need a new LP regulator and hose....... not expensive to buy and simple to replace, try that and see if it helps.

Just bought a new Jenn-Air grill and cant get the temp past 250. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

First, check that all the gas lines and flame bars are clear of any 'things' or bugs. I had a similar problem with a Webber grill and found out my problem was with the gas bottle. The new Overflow Protection Valve required on LP bottles can closed off or severly slow the flow of gas when the bottle is full and the valve is opened quickly. It will let enough gas flow to light the grill but won't let the fire get high enough to heat the grill up. Turn all the valves off on the grill and gas bottle. Open the gas bottle valve slowly then turn on the grill burner and try lighting it. If the flame is still very low try again or you have to let it burn at the low level until the OPV float drops down and the valve doesn't impede the gas flow. The best way to avoid this in the future is to not fill the gas bottle to the top when you have it refilled. Just ask the LP attendent to not fill it all the way.

I recently bought a P reg VW Polo 1.4 L unfortunatly there is no manual with the car ..there is a big white bottle in the engine layout it has a max and min line and i need to top it up could you tell...

It's the expansion bottle . Make sure you have coolent in there read on the bottle how much to put in for your car ,ps on the white bottle you will have high and low marks on there min and max , fill the bottle between these marks with water tighten up the cap , the water in this bottle feeds the radiater when it needs it that's all good luck colin

How do you find and fill the radiator in 2003 GMC Yukon XL

Some of these vehicles have a false petcock. Pop off the lower hose over a catch pan, pour a gallon of water in the plastic Dexcool Coolant bottle and put the hose back on when it stops pouring out. Fill to the max line and run the car until both radiator hoses are hot (thermostat has opened). Replenish fluid to max line and cap the bottle. If you have electric fans make sure they come on and make sure your temp. gauge stays in the middle. It'll take longer on cooler days. You might have to get in the car and gas it to about 2000 rpms. Don't cap the bottle until the thermostat opens. If it vomits, change the thermostat and again make sure the electric fans kick on or the clutch fan speeds up at about 210 degrees.

Need to adjust oven temperature on a Croley gas range

you shouldnt need to adjust the burners for a temp problem.
the control has a built in calibration setting and it should be described in your owners manual.
if you dont have the manual, then try to set the oven temp to max, 550, and then hold the bake button in for 10 to 30 seconds. after that it should beep and show you a 2 digit number like 00. that is the calibration mode, then you can adjust it up or down +/- 35 degrees. try to make a small adjustment first like 10 degrees and see how it bakes.
if it takes too long to bake, then use + degrees, if it is burning things then lower -10 degrees.
hope that helps you.
