New member here. I have a 62" DLP Mitsubishi model #WD6252. I've already replaced my lamp AND ballast and continue to have the solid red lamp status indicator. I've made sure the connection from th

Your color wheel is failing or has failed. the red light ONLY means the lamp cannot light or was forced to shut down. it means nothing about the lamp or ballast specifically.

If your color wheel isnt spinning up correctly or you have a stuck fan somewhere, the lamp will be shut down immediately upon startup.

Id check to see if the color wheel is stuck or if its getting stuck.

Why my lcd monitor keeps restarting?

It seems like it's a lamp bulb problem. LCD's have a bulb/lamp to project the image, when this lamp gets old or faulty it keeps failing/shutting Off, and the monitor automatically starts again and again, resulting in that cycle. Look for the model of your monitor, search a new lamp for it on the internet and buy it. Then replace the old lamp.

Tv starts to turn on then red light comes on and tv turns off

The red light indicates the lamp has has failed to light. You might just need a new lamp. If replacing the lamp does not solve your problem then the capacitors on PWB-Power need to be replaced or the lamp ballast itself has gone bad.

Failed to start after replace a new lamp module

be sure to reset the lamp hrs, always a good idea to reflash with current flashware because your firmware can get corrupt over time. next step if to make sure all fans are running. if your other lamp exploded, some glass could have gotten in the space between the fan blade tips and the fan frame. also make sure the lamp door is engaging the interlock switch with it's pokey thing. also make sure the color wheel spins, if it doesn't the lamp won't stay lit. if all i've mentioned above is good then it is most likely the power input board if yours has one or the power supply ballast.

could be the Ballast that starts the lamp has failed or the power supply is bad or the color wheel has failed. these are the components that fail most often.

Modle 5222, scanner error?? any suggestions?

sure you lamp lights up when machine is powered on. open the top cover, turn power on. lamp should light and scanner should move. if either of these do not happen you will need to replace parts. if the lamp lights and the scanner moves your ccd could be bad. you may need a service tech. if the lamp does not light it is your problem. lamp, power supply, ballest, or main pcb could be the problem

Sony kds-60a2020 lamp problem

I would change the whole LAMP ASSEMBLY because if you touch the lamp while changing it out of the housing the oils on your hands will cause premature failure. Most of the time the lamp assembly's come with replacement instructions but yours is not too bad it is located on the left hand side if looking from behind set.

Just replaced bulb when cold it has trouble lighting.

it's not the lamp, it's the ballast. when it's fully discharged, it needs too much power to start. once it has the caps charged (when it's been running and warm), it'll start right away. it sounds as if the capacitors on the ballast are drying up. best to replace the ballast. after you do, make sure the projector is free of dust and dirt. excessive dust will cause premature power and lamp failure due to lack of cool down.

New bulb installed and it takes 10 plus minutes to start

Exchange the lamp under warranty...
You've tried almost everything else.
It's not that uncommon to experience "infancy failure" with a brand new lamp.

If the problem persists with the replacements replacement then I would suspect the Lamp power supply (Ballast) is failing.

Have you reset the lamp timer after replacing the lamp, if not then do so and see the user manual for that.
