Try a new spark plug first.if no different look at your carb dependining on what model you have you will see on the side ethier 1 or 2 screws usualy 1 as a spring the othe doesnt hold you throtal full on in neutral after warming it and with a screw diver turn the screw whithout the spring qaurter turns but count as you know ware it was first you will here the difference in the engine

Liffan lf50qt-2a starts but only runs properly when it's just about to run dry on fuel as when it's full just splutters on and cuts out or will high rev but not turn the wheel soon as it's about to run out...

When motors are just about to run out of fuel they actually go better because they suck more air and run lean try adjusting the mixture screw on the carb i think anti clockwise in most cases to put more air in it and do this while its running if you can so you can hear it if it doesn't change turn it the other way as soon as it starts running smooth you know you got it hope that helps

check the carb (throttle) cable lengths. If they are different the mixture and idle settings will be meaningless.

Hi i got a cbf 600 it runs fine when up and running but at low speeds or lower end of the gear im in theres a slight splutter b4 it goes as normal i have changed the plugs the air filter but i think it...

If you are up to the job you can balance the carburettors if you have access to a set of vacuum gauges and see if that helps
the splutter at lower revs happens usually because one or more cylinders are getting to much air mixture than the others

IF YOU CAN GET THE BIKE TO IDLE AT ALL, SPRAY SOME CARB CLEANER AROUND THE INTAKE BOOT AND SEE IF THE ENGINE REVS AT ALL. IF IT DOES, ITS A LEAKING SEAL AT THE BOOT. IF NOT IT IS PROBABLY STILL SOMETHING IN THE CARB.

My quad starts fine then cuts out on low revs, it runs perfect with open throttle and also splutters whilst going slow and ides? thanks

mate adjust the mixture screw on the carb to its correct setting in the manual and put the idle screw in a bit so the revs rise a tad good luck

Hi i have a cr125 on a 96 it starts with a bump and when warm kicks up quite nice but now it wont start at all i have tried a new plug got a spark ,compression is fine, plenty of fuel ,drained the carb...

You may need a carb kit. Sputtering is usually one of two things. 1) bad seals in the carb, install a kit.

2) water in the fuel.
Clean the pitcock water trap, check the air cleaner, drain the carb

The generator stuff sounds pretty weird and off the wall.
