Wiring depends on the specific motherboard. There should be small white lettering on the motherboard which shows where the connections fit correctly. What kind ove motherboard is it? What types of cases are you using? Are you using different drives?

It sounds like a possible memory error code. See my previous post about checking the memory. Remove all memory sticks turn on and see if it sounds the same. Make sure memory slots are clean by using a can of air. Put one stick in. If you still get error beeps, try a different slot. If you still get error beeps, Try another stick of memory.

After seeing your last comment I would bet that the memory is bad. Very rarely do you get a motherboard with all the memory slots bad. Next step is to get new memory. Make sure if you do this yourself that you are touching the metal part of the case before you pick up the new memory. That way you do not shock the new memory and kill it.

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

hope this helps

Also, the beeping is usually a code. (i.e. one beep, pause, one beep pause... or two beeps, pause, two beeps, pause... etc) The different codes mean different parts of the motherboard are either bad or not connected correctly. First remove the memory and put it back in one stick at a time, testing for power between each chip. Make sure the processor is connected correctly. Take out all extra cards. If you still get the beeping, disconnect the drives and try without the drives, then just the hard drive, etc.

It is a process of elimination since I do not know what the actual beep code you are hearing.

the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.
make sure that your RAM is securely seated
test or replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive make sure the connections are secure including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your
    ((motherboard to hard drive))
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
    hope this helps

Vtech 8100 VOIP wont connect to DGL 4500 router

please call dlink tech support at 877-453-5465. just an advise on how to handle the call when you reach dlink tech support (agent); do not agree to call back after you troubleshoot with them (they'll be giving you a case id reference# and be advising you to check your pc or call "who" and call them back to continue the troubleshooting). insist to the agent that he need to resolve the problem asap (by the way, agents are not allowed to drop the call or they'll be dead-history!). and if the agent still insisted you to call back, ask for a "senior level technician" to finish the job (escalate the problem).
fyi: dlink tech support handling time to resolve a call is 15 to 18 minutes only. if you reach that 15-18 minutes (max) time the agent will think of a way for you to call back (advising you to check with your pc manufacturer, check with your ISP, call microsoft to update your software, etc... non-sense!) they need to do this in order to reach their handling time (agents need to reach 21 to 25 billable calls, and billable calls are "solution provided", "resolved", and "dropped call"). ---- believe me, i was one of them and repented.

The car needs a new TS flasher. About 6$ at the auto parts store. You find the old one by listening for where the click is comming from under the dash. These are typically very accessable.

Changing from old moniter to flat sceen. the new one will get to windows logo, load up, then says no signal. wats wrong please?

Your screen resolution might be the problem. Put the old monitor back on, change the resolution to 800x600 for example, and restart. Then plug in your new flat screen. You then should be able to increase the resolution via the Display control panel and see how far it will let you go.

Good luck!

How to remove and install CRT?

You got to remove the lower back panel and you'll find another 4 screws there and don't remove the front cabinet with the screen, remove the back one with the mirror. I sugest you to use the old deflection yoke, in case your new crt is comming with his yoke.
