Yes, there are several free password recovery and reset software options online. You would need to use another computer to download and install it on a CD or flashdrive. Fairly easy to use if you read the notes that come up on screen.

You need to prepare:
1:A blank CD/DVD or USB flash drive
2.A computer which can link to internet
3.A program called Windows Password Recovery 6.0

Get started with this 3 simple steps:
Website: http://lost-password.net/products/windowspasswordrecoery.html
Step 1 - Download windows password recovery utility and install it.
Step 2 -Burn your Windows Password Reset CD:
To burn your CD, you'll need a blank CD-R and the .ISO file of Windows Password Reset.
Step 3 - Put in your newly created CD and remove your Windows password.
hope this helps

UBCD4Win is a bootable CD which contains software that allows you to repair, restore, or diagnose almost any computer problem also has a bios reset tool which can remove your password and bios password
you will have to burn it to a disk as an ISO then you will have to boot from the disc During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the scroll down to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart (note after you have removed your password you will have change first boot back to your hard drive) Hope this helps

My lenovo model name 4330 is asking for a HDD Password. and i dont know it

Yikes!!! I'm not calling you a thief, but 99% of the time when you encounter a laptop that has a lock on the hard drive and the person in possession of the laptop does not know the password, the laptop is stolen. The original owner put the lock on to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data. It could have been put on remotely by the original owner once they realized the laptop was missing.

You're up the creek without a paddle.

You're out of luck. Not calling you a thief, but 99% of the time when you get a laptop where the person in possession of it does not know the hard drive password, the laptop is stolen. The original owner puts a lock on the Hard Drive to keep users from getting to sensitive data. The owner could have put the password lock on remotely as soon as it was stolen.

The hard drive can never be used again.

Need hdd pasword

Wow!! You are out of luck. 99% of the time when there is a Password on the Hard Drive and the person that has the laptop does not know the password, the laptop is STOLEN. The real owner put the Password on the drive to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data. The only way the password can be removed is if the person that put it on takes it off. They could have set the password remotely once the laptop was stolen. There is absolutely no work around to get it off. The laptop is useless to you. You can even take the hard drive out but it can never be used again.

Dissabling the HDD Password

You're out of luck. 99% of the time if there is a Hard Drive Password on the laptop and the person in possession of the laptop does not know the password, the laptop is stolen. The laptop is not usuable unless the person that put the Password lock on the hard drive takes it off. It was put there to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data. The original owner could have set the password remotely once the laptop was stolen.
That drive can never be used, even if you took it out of the laptop.

How do i restore a toshiba Satellite A215-S5839 back to factory settings but thge hdd has a built in password

You my friend are up the creek without a paddle. How could you forget the Hard Drive Password? Oh I know, it's a stolen laptop. If you're smart enough to set a password on the hard drive, then you're smart enough to remember it. 99% of computers with passwords on the hard drive and the person that has the laptop doesn't know the password, either stole it or bought it hot off the streets. The real owner set the password to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data if it is ever stolen. They might have even set the password remotely once it was stolen. The laptop is useless unless the real owner puts the password in to unlock it.

You can ask the real owner that put the password lock on the hard drive for it. Otherwise, it's a useless laptop to you. 99% of the laptops that have a password on the hard drive where the current owner does not know the password either stole the laptop or purchased it hot off the streets. The real owner put the password on the drive so that if the laptop is stolen the thieves cannot get to sensitive data.

What is the built in hdd pass word

Hard Drives do not have a built in password. Hard drives are password protected by the original owner to keep thieves from getting into sensitive data. If your hard drive has a password on it and you don't know the password, then 99% of the time it means you have a stolen laptop. The original owner might have always had it password locked on the hard drive or once it was stolen they may have had the ability to lock it remotely. The only way you'll be able to use that laptop is to get the original owner to key in and remove the password from the hard drive or purchase another hard drive and get it installed, load the operating system, load the drivers, load the application programs.

Password on hdd

Passwords on Hdd in 99% of the times represent a stolen computer. The hard drive was locked either remotely by the original owner to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data. One percent of the time a legitimate user put it on and does not remember the password. If you can't put in the password to unlock it the only other option is to install another hard drive, operating system, drivers and application programs. Maybe these guys at: http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com can help you at a very economical price.
