You may have to remove the unit and get the serial number from a sticker on it and contact JVC to get the code to reactivate it. You are one more victim of 'anti-theft' security.
Dunno how many thieves this annoys but it sure POs a lot of owners.
You may be required to prove legal ownership of the unit.
To prevent this from happening because of a necessary disconnection of the car battery, you can buy a small, inexpensive device that uses a 9V block battery and plugs into the cigarette lighter to avoid losing the computer data and the use of your stereo.
