Question about Dryers

1 Answer

After about ten minutes it starts squeaking real loud!!!!!!!!! It runs, heats up, and tumbles just fine. The belt doesn't appear to be loose either. I cleaned out the fuzz bunnies, and sprayed a little wd-40 around the pulley, but it did not fix my problem!!!!! Any ideas, short of a stick of dynamite!!!!

Dryers are designed to operate in one direction. Some models turn clockwise and some turn counter-clockwise. Do not run it backwards. The direction of air flow will be impeded or reversed.

I replace the front drum bearing and 4 glides the drum turns fine and works good but after about 5 minutes when my ge gas dryer gets hot it starts squeaking real loud again please help

It may be either the idler pulley which rides against the belt to keep it tight or the Teflon insert into which the shaft of the drum is inserted.

Maytag dryer won't rotate after blower wheel replacement

Check the drive belt and belt tensioner. From the way you describe it, the belt is loose and with a load in the drum, it will not rotate due to belt slipping.
