SOURCE: My galaxy tablet just went dark. No screen or power. It was more than 50% charged last I looked an hour before. It has been plugged in for 20 minutes now and it won't turn on. What happened??

it depends.. check the battery pack maybe this cause a over charge and check first if your galaxy tablet is still part of the warranty this will help you a lot.

Tablet will not charge

Hi there,

Assuming that you charger is not defective, and that you have no other electrical issues, then if your battery has been allowed to completely flat line, it may no longer accept a charge from the normal wall charger. Then you can try to trickle charge your tablet from a low voltage/current source, such as a USB port or a low power phone charger (5v/500ma). Try a trickle charge for 8 - 24 hours on your tablet. After that try your normal charger and see if it will now charge properly.

If that does not work, and you have previously ruled out your charger, then I would suggest contacting the manufacturer, as it is likely some other fault, either with the battery, or the tablet itself.

I post on behalf of HP.

Tablet not charging while plugged in

Turned off the tablet, unplugged the charger and kept the tablet off for about 30 minute to one hour, plugged in back the charger, then turn on the tablet. After that I you might see the tablet started charging. Good Luck.

Digiland tablet won't charge. Is there a way to

Depends upon exactly what's happening.

  • When you plug in your charger, does it try to charge the Tablet? ie Does the Charging icon come on the screen briefly when the charger is plugged in with the Tablet turned off, or does the little charging 'lightning' symbol come onto the battery icon on the home screen when the Tablet is running?
  • I assume the battery has gone flat, but will the Tablet turn on when the charger is connected?
If the charging icon comes on, and/or the tablet will run on the charger, then both the charger and the charge port connection on the Tablet are OK, and the most probable cause of failure is the internal battery which will need to be replaced.

However, If neither the icon comes on nor the Tablet runs on the charger, then either the charger has died, or the plug/socket on the Tablet where it connects is faulty. The most likely cause is that the charger has died and will neeed to be replaced

There is a slight chance that the internal charging circuits in the Tablet may have developed a fault, but that is highly unlikely {:o)

I turn my tablet on then it switches it self off

Sounds like it does not have enough battery power to stay on. If you have not tried to charge it, you should try that first. If you have, it sounds like it is not getting charged or not holding a charge. Could be bad AC power source, bad charger, bad charger connection or bad battery. Take steps to confirm that each of these are good. If all of these are good, sometimes the tablet can become so discharged that it will not allow itself to charge. When they are in that state, sometimes you can trick them into charging again by repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting the charger as follows: With charger plugged in to AC power source, connect the charger to the tablet. Pay attention to the screen or LED or whatever indicator your tablet has to let you know it is charging. You may see it momentarily indicate charging, or maybe not at all. Then unplug the charger from the tablet then immediately plug it back in and pay attention for the charge indication again. You may have to do this a bunch of times (like 20) until you see the indication that it is charging. When you do get the indication, stop unplugging and re-plugging and let the tablet charge for 24 hours (to a full charge). This trick doesn't always work. Sometimes the battery or charging circuit or an internal connection is bad and no amount of unplugging/re-plugging will fix a hardware problem.

I have a axpen 1320 tablet that won't charge with power cord what do I do

hmmm, sounds as if the battery had dropped below it normal 'low' charge, therefore it may not appear on the charging circuit (as if it were missing). This sometimes works for me. Put the tablet in your freezer for at least 6 hours. Lowing it's temperature sometimes will help bring a 'dead' battery back to some life, at least enough to get it back on line with your charger.

My samsung tablet will not charge and will not turn on

take back cover off and pull battery out for awhile about an hour then put back in, leave off but put on charger, let charge until is full , also check to see if wall charger unit is faulty by plugging it in to another outlet. if either fails take it back to where you got it from and get a new one

Tablet charger is 400mAh and Tablet battery is 4000mAh. is my charger sufficient ?

The charger is right for the battery. IF battery won't charge on it proper charger, the battery or charger is bad. Take it back or put out more $$$$$$$$$.

Why will my changer not make a good connection

The charger is working. Your Battery won't take a charge. Does the tablet work when it is plugged in? If so, your battery is not holding a charge anymore. Low budget tablets are famous for this. My daughter has had two that are dead. Both a little over a year old. You can take it to the Microsoft store and see if they have another charger and see if it charges. Otherwise it's the battery.

My sons kurio 4s power button doesn't work. I have to plug it into a charger

Check the battery is charged - it may be duff and need replaced if it is not charging or your power adaptor may not be charging it - check it with a multimeter - the power socket on laptops and tablets are very susceptible to damage - if that fails then plug it into a pc using the usb port - it will charge very slowly as usb only has a very low charge current but be patient and if it charges up after 12 hours using the usb method you will know one way or another whether its the battery or the power socket or charger.
