Question about Canon PIXMA MX310 All-In-One Printer
Welcome to Fixya. If you have ERROR LCD: CHECK INK U162, all you need to do is follow the instruction below to fix the issue.
If you want to continue printing in this condition, press and hold the Stop/Reset> button on the printer for at least five seconds, and then release it. Replace the ink cartridge and close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover). If printing is in progress and you want to continue printing, press the Stop/Reset button for at least 5 seconds with the ink cartridge installed. Then printing can continue under the ink out condition.
The function for detecting the remaining ink level will be disabled.
Replace the empty ink cartridge immediately after the printing. The resulting print quality is not satisfactory, if printing is continued under the ink out condition.
You can also refer to Canon Support Site for more info on replacing the Cartridge. Just click on Service and Support type u162 on the search box. Select ERROR LCD: CHECK INK U162 and you will see the solution on how to properly change the cartridge.
