You're gonna need a meter to read out some of the parts to see what part is bad but it will only take you a couple of minutes to do this.unplug the machine, pop off the bottom panel with a putty knife or screw driver, stick it into the crack at the top of the panel and you'll find the clips around two inches in from the side of the panel.open the door, pull out the lint filter, remove the screws that hold in the duct that the filter slides into and check the thermal fuse located on the top of the blower wheel housing,it's the part on the left side part 3390719,you have to pull at least one wire off of any part you read out with your meter,if the fuse is good put the wires back on and move to the right, read out the heating element, pull off one wire and check it,if that's good check the thermostats on the side of the heating box,it could be one of these are the most common parts to check on an electric dryer with no heat.also while you have the duct off clean out all the lint in it and vac up all the lint in the cabinet,if you have a shop vac you can put it on blow and blow all the lint from the back to the front so you don't have to pull the drum, lso blow off the motor, lint builds up in it and sticks on it and the motor can overheat from this.then pull off the vent line from the back and clean it out,if it's a long run i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, just make sure that the outside vent is clear so the lint will blow out.you should clean out the dryer once every 1 1/2 years or if it's gas once a year so you don't have a fire and the dryer will run better and your clothes will dry on time.

This model dryer has two heating elements, one for the top and one for the bottom, I suspect that the bottom element is burned out. If you want to attempt it yourself then I can send you a service manual that will walk you step by step through the whole dryer.

Dryer not blowing hot air

When you say 220 gas dryer I'm not sure what you mean. If it's 220V then it should be an electric dryer, not a gas dryer. Troubleshooting is totally different between gas and electric. If it's electric (large 30A 220V plug) then good chance heating element(s) have gone bad. You can look up parts on www.searspartsdirect.com Have your complete model number. IF it's gas, it may be the pilot ignition has failed

My kenmore dryer is blowing out cold air

Make sure that both poles of your circuit are live - An electric dryer uses 220 volts to the heating element, but taps into only one pole (110 volt) for the motor that spins the drum. Check your circuit breaker to make sure that neither pole has tripped.

My Kenmore Elite, Model 11062042100, has been working fine but now the control panel is totally dead. The interior light is working, so I know it is getting power. Any ideas? Thanks!Shaun

OK, if you are certain that the unit is receiving a power current, this will most defiantly confirm a major chip fault in in the main control board.

Try to wake the control by cutting the power to the unit for 5 minutes. if the damage isn't severe, this will either, reset the program or, render and error code. if both do not appear and the control remains blank or dead, after the reset, replace the main control board.

Dryer will run for a second and sound three beeps and stops.

Sounds like the door switch has gone bad., but your description is confusing.

First, it takes a few minutes for you to feel the air blowing hot, particularly when the dryer is in a cold garage. The heating elements have to heat up the mass of the metal, and any clothes in the dryer.

The timer design is such that it can not speed up (the motor inside wont start running faster, due to it's electrical design.).

I am suspect that the door switch has failed for some reason, because reading between the lines, I think you are saying when you release the Start button, the dryer quits operating. If the door switch is bad, then it will cause that condition to happen.
