Question about LG Heating & Cooling

2 Answers

I have LSA 18TWASI LG make split air conditioner purchased two year back.Since then it was o.k. but now in this summer season ,when it was found that whole gas happened to leak , it was serviced and the service man just charged the 1.2 kg gas.But after 4 /5 days it was observed that the compressor is getting tripped in very short time even the temp. is set at 18 Deg and the room is not attaining the set temp. I opened the body myself and observed that ice is seen only upto half length of the gas flowing pipe of inside unit and also in only few incoming pipes. Would you please diagnose and suggest me what is the trouble in the air conditioning unit. I would be thankful for that. Regards R. Sinha

Refrigerant is colder at lower pressures. Frost and ice on the suction line at the compressor is a common sign of being low on refrigerant. The suction line is the larger of the 2 copper lines. Please rate my answer for me. Good or bad, it all helps me to be better. Thanks for writing. Roger

It sounds like it leaked again and there's not enough refrigerant in the unit to cool. That's generally is what causes the cooling coils to ice up. Get your serviceman back and see if he can replace the coils. Repairing them is not a good option.

How do I fix my Lg split system air conditioner myself because it will not stay on any more?

probably not beyond help just beyond your capability to fix as it needs to be properly tested to find exactly what is the fault
the price of a new one is considerable but against a technician call charge where you will find exactly requires repairing and that will allow you to replace any faulty parts cheaply
failure to get advice first will be more costly in the long run as you will be throwing parts at it without success.

Hello, I purchase an LG dual split minisplit air conditioner. It worked all summer long but now both wall units display a "CH 46" error and do not turn on. Any idea what the problem is and how...

A CH46 error indicates the low side sensor or suction line sensor is defective and not within acceptable parameters. It may be loose or off or simply bad.

Compressor ?

Sounds like you are over heating the compressor, try cleaning the out door unit coil. Take a hose and blow water through it, be carefull not to bend the fins.

Selling window ac and making a little money?
Kind of like farming. To make a little money by farming you first start out with a big pile of money. after you spend it, you have a smaller pile left.
Seriously though the factory will be wanting to know how many units you intend to buy, what features are important to you they might also want to know. And it being June now, the timing for the season is about over. Usually AC's are ordered in the early spring or late winter. Because the factorys have to tool up to manufacturer the units. Ordering in the components and then assemble them test them and package and distribute them. Meaning an order of size during the late winter is optomable for the factory production. Usually by now most of the summer stock is depleted and there are no units left in some models.
