Dyson dc 14 has really strong power with the wand but is not good when doing carpets i have cleaned filters

Hi there Diane, it's Jack at Dyson.

If your DC14 isn't picking up well on carpets despite having strong suction through the wand, there are some simple troubleshooting checks you can run through. I understand you've checked for blockages and washed the filter, but there may be something you've overlooked. These checks will help you determine if there's a blockage or another issue that may be causing this: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc14/dc14-all-floors/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/how-to-wash-filters/no/loss-of-performance

If you'd like further advice after giving each of these diagnostic checks a try, please give our experts a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

There is gunk buildup behind the gasket, is that normal and should it be removed?

It's common for detergent residue to build up inside of washing machine tubs and gaskets. Use a cleaner once per month to keep high-efficiency washing machines free of odor-causing residue.
Physically remove the stubborn residue remaining after using the cleaner.

Remove blockages dyson

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

To remove any blockages from your DC25, our online Support page will walk you through each step to make sure nothing is missed: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc25/dc25-irsvsye/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/how-to-wash-filters/check-suction

DC25 has two washable filters, and these should both be washed at least once every three months as shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for both filters to dry completely before replacing them.

I hope this helps, but if you'd like any additional information you can reach our experts in person by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Can you wash clear bowl on a dyson dc44

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

We would strongly advise against attempting to wash or submerge your DC44's clear bin, as it contains the wiring which supplies current to your vacuum's wand and motorised floor tool. Any damage caused may not be covered under your Dyson warranty.

Instead, we'd recommend separating the clear bin from the cyclone pack as shown in the image below:

Once you've removed the clear bin, you can use a damp cloth to remove any dust or debris - always make sure the bin is completely dry before reassembling. You can also use a soft, dry brush to remove any debris from the shroud.

I hope this helps, but if you'd like any further guidance on cleaning or maintaining your DC44, please give our experts a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Dyson CR01 pops up mid wash with a mesage saying that it is not draining, check hose or cointrap. Have emptied and cleaned cointrap and it is still saying the same. Should i be cleaning the hose too?

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Check that the drain pump is operating correctly. Please read through and pick the bits you require!
--------------------
Here are my complete and generic (pre-typed!) guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C

Our Dyson CRO1 front load Washer can not empty holes and complaining of coin stack in there. We have checked but there is coin in there, can you please help us?

if your machine runs ok until this point then try giving the filter cover a gentle tap
my machine had this problem due to the pump jamming
there was nothing in the coin trap but the pump itself was jamming i fitted a replacement pump it now works ok.to open the cointrap. you will need the dyson spanner or a small flat screwdriver to lift the lock on the cover it then unscrews anticlockwise. more information can be found in the instruction manual
if you have lost or mislaid them a download is available on the dyson web site
if you are unsure how to repair your machine a call to dyson will be needed
they will repair and test your machine

Dyson hose does not produce alot of suction when extended.

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

It sounds as though the wand/hose is blocked. with the machine locked in the upright positino, remove the hose from the machine, switch on and test the suction. If the suction is poor, remove the wand from the hose and test the suction from the top of the hose. If the suction is strong, you will need to check the wand for a blockage. If the suction is still poor, check the hose for a blockage.

You may find it useful to wash the filter as this can sometimes cause a drop in performance if its dirty and it wuold be more noticable from the hose.

I hope that this information is useful to you.

Kind regards
Darran
