The device communicates with the computer devices least displaying details. For example, setting up the router modems requires connections also from where the computer adminstrator sets the passes least disclosing detail IP addresses.

Can't connect to DAP-1522

When you say you cannot get to the DAP1522, are you trying to access the firmware or do you simply mean to use it as a Bridge or AP? If accessing the firmware, make sure your PC is on the same subnet (192.168.0.xxx) as the bridge. Also, I recommend that you do a factory reset to make sure that it has its default IP of 192.168.0.50.

The biggest problem I had initially was that my router was setup for a different subnet. So, my PC was being assigned an IP on the router\'s subnet. The DAP1522 worked but I could not access the firmware because the DAP1522 and my PC were on different subnets. I had to modify my router DHCP settings for the same subnet (192.168.0.xxx) as the bridge. Once I did this and restarted my PC, I could then access the DAP1522\'s firmware.

Oh, and one more thing ... I suggest you put a static DHCP assignment for the bridge in your router so that there is no chance it might assign its IP to another device.

I have lost the security code and have a new laptop, how do i set it up to work

Hi!

If you don't remeber the wireless security code, maybe you still remeber the user and password to access the web management interface of the router.
Then you have to connect the laptop to the router by using a network cable. Open a browser window, type in the IP adress of your router and check the wireless setup section. There you can find / modify the wifi security code.

If you don't know the router's IP adress, then open on your computer a ms-dos prompt and type the command
ipconfig /all

it will display your current IP adress, subnet mask and GATEWAY. The gateway adress is the router's IP adress that must be typed into the browser.

If you don't remember the user and password for accessing the router's web interface, please refer to the router's user manual in order to reset it to factory default configuration, and then proceed as for the first installation of the router.

Hope it helped,

Bogdan

I have DAP-1160 wireless G access point. My pc won't rekognize it. it worked befor reseting, after that the STATUS led does not blink. Not even when it's connected to the pc. What is the problem?...

I had the same problem with a DLINK DAP-1160, it did not seem to reset and I could not connect, nor PING it. It turned out that the box WAS resetting, and although the default IP address 192.168.0.50 and subnet 255.255.255.0 was being set, my computer was assigning itself up a private IP address and subnet 255.255.0.0. In the manual, it does say that you must be on the same subnet, so I changed my alternate IP address for my ethernet to be static and set the subnet to 255.255.255.0 and everything sprung in to life.

To summarise: make sure the computer you are using to configure the DAP-1160 has its subnet to 255.255.255.0.

I just got a dap-1360 and i cant set it up when i type dlinkap or 192.168.0.50 in my URL it keeps sayin webpage cannot be found

just make sure that you belong with in the same IP range.
default DAP-1360 IP is 192.168.0.50
username : admin password :
change your PC IP address to 192.168.0.xxx (e.g. 192.168.0.2)
from there you may choose wizard or manual configuration.
you may change your DAP-1360 IP add according to your network settings in the office and you must change you PC IP address with in the same range.

Cannot access either dlinkap or 192.168.0.50 via web browser in order to set DAP-1522 up as a wireless bridge. My current internet provider is Verizon Fios using their router. Why can't I...

Assuming that all settings are still at factory defaults... It's likely that to connect to the device through the web browser or through the app, you will have to temporarily assign your PCs network card a static IP address that is in the same range as the router (for example: 192.168.0.10). The user name should be admin and the password should be left blank. Make sure to plug your router directly to your PCs LAN port with an ethernet cable.

This article on the extremetech website explains exactly how to do what you are trying to do:
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2329231,00.asp

In case the previous link has too much info, here's another site that simply tells how to access the manual settings of the router through the browser: http://www.paraesthesia.com/archive/2010/05/04/connect-to-the-d-link-dap-1522-access-point-configuration-manually.aspx

If you go through these steps and still can't communicate with the device, it's likely that router's default configuration has been modified and you will have to reset the router to factory settings to get it back to the defaults. Then you may proceed as listed above.

To reset (if necessary) follow these instuctions on the D-Link website:
http://www.dlink.cc/d-link-wireless/d-link-dap-1522-forget-password-you-will-have-to-reset-it-to-factory-defaults.html

I know it's a lot of stuff, but I hope this helps. It can be frustrating, but you'll get through it.

I cant reset my senao eoc3610

1 ) Check if IP address is the correct address of your Gateway.
Check if you can ping.
Be sure you have your Java enabled
Some router requires a specific Browser (IE6 or IE7) and cannot respond to different browser.
Be sure to remove any Java protection from your Browser.
Check with user manual if IP address requires also a specific port number ( 8080 or other).
Be sure to Connect Router using Lan cable
2) Change your PC IP setting to same subnet as your router
Control Panel / Network settings / properties of TCP/IP define an IP address and a subnet mask compatible with Router as gateway.
3) If you are not sure of Router IP address use reset button on router back to factory default; use this to configure router.

Connecting to the internet

your router is locking it out. if you don't know much about routers try unplugging it and your modem for 20 seconds, that should do the trick. also reset your network settings on the xbox by going into the networking blade and clicking on reset to factory. good luck!
