  • Tim Thies Apr 07, 2011

I did all os the step you suggested. The machine worked for 2 days. I assume i need to replace the thermistor there are center and side thermistors would I replace the center thermistor?

  • Tim Thies Apr 11, 2011

I have replaced the thermistor it tries to warm up and I get the wrench again. Before i would clear a 6 out of the error and now it gives me an 8. Any thought what is the next move?

    Thank you,

Is there just wrench and machine still operates, or it's not working?

To get the error code: press [CLEAR] button and [8] button simultaneously. You'll say the error code. Post the error code in this thread so that I can provide you with the correct troubleshooting procedure.

Leave the error code in this thread only so that I can track your response and I'll be right back to you with the troubleshooting procedure as soon as possible.

    Thank you for the information.

Error c43 is a fuser problem after warm up. It could be that your thermofuse in the toshiba is dirty or might be defective already.

Solution: Clean the thermofuse. If no go. Try putting the thermofuse to a freezer for a minute or 3. Install it back in. If no go. Purchase new thermofuse.

Click on the URL below so that you will be directed to a pdf file. It's a service handbook for toshiba studio. It is also applicable to your toshibia studio e-28. They have the same codes and troubleshooting procedure with the rest of the studio versions.

When the file is open, go to page 5-62. It should be the 5. 1. 10. Fuser unit related service call. Follow the procedure there.

Thank you so much for the update.

If you want to make sure that your machine would work perfectly, I suggest to replace all of the thermostat including the center. By doing that, there's no need for you to buy a new thermostat when the center mess up. It would not be a waste of your money because it would be a 100% fix.

Thank you for trusting fixya. I hope that the problem will be fixed. But, if you have anymore questions and concerns, don't hesitate to ask for our help and we would be very happy to help you.
