The USB streaming driver for the Camcorder is not available for Windows 7/Vista OS from Sony at this point. Hence it is not possible to transfer videos using USB interface. You may use i.LINK or A/V interface to transfer videos from the Camcorder to the Computer which is running on Windows 7/Vista Operating System.

Please follow the steps to transfer video to a computer using an i.LINK connection (IEEE 1394).

IMPORTANT: Video capture software and a compatible video capture card must be installed on the computer. Depending on the computer manufacturer, various video capture cards and software (Adobe Premiere, Roxio Video Wave, Microsoft Windows Movie Maker, etc.) may be available or already installed on your computer. If necessary, contact the manufacturer of your computer for further information.

NOTE: Many Sony VAIO computers are bundled with Sony DVgate Motion or DVgate Plus software for video capturing. Some VAIO computers also include Click To DVD software that will allow video capture to the computer hard drive or directly to a DVD.

  • Connect an i.LINK cable (also known as IEEE 1394) to the i.LINK port on the digital camcorder.
i.LINK Cable.

  • Connect the other end of the i.LINK cable to the computer.

NOTE: The computer i.LINK ports and capture cards may have either 4-pin or 6-pin connections. Sony digital camcorders use i.LINK ports with 4 pins. If your computer only has a 6-pin i.LINK port, then it will be necessary to use a 4-pin to 6-pin i.LINK cable.

  • Turn on the digital camcorder by moving the POWER switch to the VTR position.
  • Cue the camcorder tape to the beginning of the video footage.
  • Turn on the computer.
  • Start the video capture software on the computer.
  • Begin playing the recorded video in the camcorder.
  • Begin importing the video with the capture software.

  • It should now be possible to copy the video using the video capture software if the computer hardware and software are configured correctly.

Thanks for understanding.
Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

How can i download the driver?

When you connect something to an USB port for the first time, don't hope to much. You have to be sure the computer has the correct software to recognise the hardware and can work with it. From Windows 7 and up, for most hardware that is certified with Microsoft, you can download the drivers from Microsoft. Lots of hardware is recognised when connected and will initiate a download from Microsoft. But not all hardware will do so and not all hardware is compatible with the new operating systems.
Most things that worked fine with Windows XP and or Vista, can fail with Windows 7 and 8, because the factory that made the hardware in the first place does not ask for certification with Microsoft for their old HV. They only spend time and money to get their new hardware certified on the new operating systems.
So to make sure your hardware is compatible with the OS. Check the manual and find out, what you have to do so it will work on your computer.
If your device was working on a USB2 port, it also should work on an USB3 port, on the same computer. But don't expect another speed, because the slowest part decides the speed.

COMPUTER DOESNT PICK UP THE NULOOQ NAVIGATOR

check the link below, the driver is 1.1 you may have an older driver, but i don't understand why you went to the Apple site. uninstall the current driver, reinstall the driver from below, then connect the navigator, but the problem may be something to do with your current mouse, so install driver first, close down the pc, then remove the old mouse and then connect the navigator, boot up and it should now be recognised http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/430/407&cl=gb,en

Restored factory settings on pc & cant re -instal belkin adaptor

The Belkin site has very specific instructions for installing this adapter in a pc with Vista. These instructions are at: http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D9050&aid=6112&scid=0
I would first unistall any Belkin Software that has already been installed, shut down the system completely and then restart. After you have fully restarted the system then follow the Belkin Site instructions EXACTLY. Any variation is apt to mean an unsuccessful install. Good Luck and have patience.

Sony ericsson w610i

Go to Sony site and download the driver for your phone
http://ma3-origin.extranet.sonyericsson.com/drivers/
Step 1
Remove data cable from usb and put it into a different one
Step 2
Connect your phone to the computer with the cable and turn it on.
You might see "Found New Hardware" wizard. DON'T let Windows search for the driver; point it to the driver you just downloaded, and install the drive on your computer.
After the driver as installed you should be working 100%
