Question about Panasonic KX-TGA560M 5.8 GHz Cordless Expansion Handset

Open Question

Model TGA-560CM cordless phone. Phone will not co-operate with my dialing out, I push the numbers and nothing happens. Total silence, no beep beep to signify contact has been made between my finger depressing on number and phone recognizing that it has to go beep to say yup, got that number. How do you clean the contacts? Or is the phone toast, and just get a new one. I think they are around 4 years old. Thank you for the help.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: How to disable dial lock without password

For the KX-TGA181AL

The "small inverted triangle" flashing in the bottom left hand corner of the screen indicates that -

the handset is too far from the base.
The AC adaptor is not connected
High electrical inteference
The handset registration is canceled

I presume that all is well with the base which leaves the handset registration. to reregister.

Press the OK button.
Press the down button (Setting HS should now be displayed)
press OK
Press the down button untill REGISTRATION is displayed
Press OK

on the base unit press and hold the ittle button on the left side of the base unit for about 5 sec.

On the handset press up or down to select a base unit number.
Wait untill BS PIN is displayed
Enter the Base unit Pin no. defalut is 0000
A confirmation tone will sound and the triangle should have stopped flashing.

that should sort it out,

BTW to lock and unlock the handset press and hold the OK button for 2 secs

SOURCE: Programing Speed dial on Walker W1000 Clarity Phones

I solved my problem by trial and error!

Steps to program speed dial on the Walker/Clarity Model W-1000 Touch Tone Sound Amplifier desk set phone w/large number pad.

1. Choose phone number to program including the (#1) digit for a long distance direct dial if
needed.
Write chosen number(s) on a scratch pad as a guide for numbers. Identify numbers with the
names or contact description (ie."Mom's Cell Phone.")

2. Remove hand set receiver from phone.

3. Press "memory set" button ONCE on the phone located uder the receiver on the desk set.

4. Enter phone number chosen, including area codes and long distance prefixes if needed!

5. Locate the speed dial position button you want for that number...(located adjacent to
tag/pad slot for name and/or phone number to be written after entering.

6. Press the speed dial position button (ONCE). Then replace receiver back in craddle.

7. Try out speed/dial program. Pick up receiver, push speed dial button(position) listen to see if
correct phone number is contacted. Once established as correct; program additional speed dial
numbers: ie family, business, as needed.
8. DO NOT TRY TO PROGRAM THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY 911 NUMBER! Keep this in your
own memory!
9. If you make a mistake while entering a phone number: Stop, Hang up phone and start all over
again in the procedure sequence.

10. Remove white "description pad with slots for names or numbers) from underneath clear
plastic cover.(use a paper clip end to lift up plastic cover). Write name/description for that number
on white pad(ie. "Mom's Cell") Use a PENCIL FOR DESCRIPTIONS!!

11. TO SAVE TIME AND INCONVENIENCE TO PERSONS/BUSINESSES OF HAVING TO
ANSWER YOUR CALLS; CHOOSE A AUTOMATED ANSWERING NUMBER (USUALLY A
BUSINESS ANSWERING AUTOMATED SERVICE (IE. LARGE INSTITUTIONAL PHONE
NUMBER THAT HAS A MENU PROMPT usually a AT&T 800 # will have a prompt menu
USE this procedure to see if you program correctly then once you know how; go back and re-
enter all the numbers that you actually want on your speed dial settings.

SOURCE: New Voice Mail message

You received a message on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. To hear the message, dial the voicemail number provided by your service provider (in many cases, this will be your own phone number), and follow the voice instructions for listening to your messages. You need to store the voicemail access # by pressing [MENU], [#] [3],[3],[1] on the handset. To access the voicemail, press [TALK], then softkey [VM]. Depending on your service provider, you may need to clear your voice mailbox to remove the notification.

Panasonic cordless phone kxgte474 does not beep when I have a message from my phone co. I have the base answering machine turned off. What am I doing wrong?

It won't beep. Take the phone off-hook, and listen for the dial tone. Interrupted dial tone is the signal you have messages.

I get a dial tone, but after I dial nothing

Model number? I'm guessing you're using a cordless phone. Which operate much like a cell phone. Simply dial the number and then press the green hook button to make the call.

I get a dial tone but the number will not dial out

Depending on the model, the codes on the handset and the base have to be set to the same, if they are different they can't talk to each other.

No dial tone on handset

It may not be registed with the main unit. You may need to register the handset. With my uniden all i have to do is put it in the main base until it says what handset it is (it should be a number).
