Question about Dell Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Just got a new dell printer and hooked it up. After the alignment page prints out (all in blue) it says take tape off cartridge or check trouble shooting. I took the tape off the cartridges of course. Why will my NEW printer not work ? It did not come with a manual. Please help ASAP. (907)373-2379 V305 Model # 5YBBPG1

Hi,

Remove the cartridges and clean the contacts ( electrical contacts - golden colored ) with a lint free cloth and re-install them back in the printer.

Try this and check if it prints the test page.

Printing alignment problem

First thing to try is to remove the power brick (not just the cord the whole brick) from printer for a minute then re insert and try it again. If this doesn't help try uninstalling it then re installing the printer

Alignment problem

Here's a solution from Dell Technical Support hotline - just hit cancel as soon as the pirnter starts the alignment process. It worked for me! You will have to cancel the alignment page every time you turn on your printer, but that's better than no printing at all.
