If you have a loose connection or a short in your wiring, the unit will react to bumps or vibrations while moving. If the unit just turns on and off at random and/or is warm to the touch, your unit is probably faulty and should be replaced.
Also, too much power entering through the head can shut off the circuit breaker, when the circuit breaker cools back down it closes and the power is restored.
So, first, bring out the unit and check for loose wire connection, especially the power wire.
